juicy, sweet Saturday...
I'm sitting here basking in the glow that comes after cleaning---it always feels so good---I just don't love doing it. I have 2 more little tasks to do on this sweltering Saturday evening...but am breaking for a bit.
Is it hot where you are? We are in the 100's all of the sudden...I'm not a hot weather kind of girl---I love to sit inside making soup and cookies while I watch the snow fall outside---that pretty much sums up my personality--so I'm in the adjust mode again as summer is upon us.
Just a quick little creation tonight---summer reminds me of fresh fruit whether it be the bright, juicy colors they always seem to enchant me with, or their perfect little shapes----I love them and crafting with them is fun as well.
This is the second package of Martha Stewart fabric strawberries that I've snagged---they are simply irresistible to me along with the scalloped border punch---I love this thing.
Well....that's it for me. Off to finish tidying up and then my little one and I are having a movie night with popcorn since we are daddy-less at the present time.
Thank you, thank you so much for the links and suggestions you've given me regarding home decor. They have already come in handy and I love discovering these new sites---keep them coming if you have any other ideas. I think my kitchen is pretty much set---yellows, reds, and pale blues---bright and cheery and just how I like it. Now if I can just afford the cabinets that I love :)
Have the rest of a wonderful weekend.
Melissa

Adorable post! The Sweet little fabric strawberries just make the entire creation. It is extremely nice weather where I am - about 75 all day for the past week!! A cool little breeze in the evenings to turn off the Air Conditioner and just open windows...I hate cleaning too. So we're in the same boat. Except my house is still a wee bit dirty (because I have been reading Danielle Steel all day!) Blessings Mel, I am happy I stopped by to visit you today as you always give me inspiration... xoxo Sher

You probably don't know this, but I LOVE strawberries!!!!! When I was in high school and when I used to draw, strawberries were my favorite subject. I need to go find those little beauties. I love the way you used that punch.
I live in Dallas and it's always hot...but I love it. I just wish there was an ocean near by, like in my back yard. I would love to live on Maui.
I don't mind cleaning, haven't had much time since Alex was born, but I do love to clean my kitchen.
Good luck with the house.

Gorgeous card Melissa, love the scallop punch but sadly I don't think we'll get them here in Oz. It's winter here ATM, definately not my fave weather, love the sun much more. Your kitchen colour combo sounds divine.

These projects are so sweet! I love your future kitchen colors - light blue and red together is an absolute favorite of mine too ;) I would love to see a photo of which cabinets are your favorites... We have a new home with black distressed cabinets which I love. I thought it would be way too dark for me, but they are wonderful!

Awwww, these berries are just too cute. I hope I can find them somewhere. They are calling my name. :o)
My b-day is next week, and when I was growing up, I always asked for strawberry shortcake for my birthday "cake". mmmmmm. :O)
Can't wait to see your kitchen. Love the sound of those colors together!!
