I have so many sweet thoughts on my mind...my little girl seems to bring out the best in me...she makes me want to be better...try harder...be who I have the potential of being....she is powerful at such a young age. She has been so sick the last few days....another round of painful ear infections...which leads to the possibility of having her little tonsils removed or tubes....my heart grows leaps and bounds as I care for her. And what makes the biggest impression on me is the fact that there isn't another single soul on earth who can comfort her and make it all better like I can.....only my humble motherly magic. As her little body twists and grows tired from being so uncomfortable, she is still and quiet and able to sleep peacefully when in my arms....I am the lucky soul who get's to be loved by this beautiful little angel and witness the miracle that she is. How did I get to be so lucky? Tonight I hope we'll both get a full night's rest as tomorrow is Easter Sunday and I want her to enjoy it. So many questions coming from her..."where does the Easter Bunny live?....oh, he must live in the East, right mama?" :)..."how does he get here?....do you think he drives his car, or rides on his scooter, or maybe he hops all the way?"..."will he still find me at grandma's?"...I adore her....absolutely every single inch of her.
One little morsel tonight and then I need to go get her Easter goodies together before I head to bed.
Papertrey Ink supplies uses here are: Kraft and Lemon Tart cardstock, 2008 Bitty Dot Basics paper,Lemon Tart grosgrain, Dark Chocolate ink, and Bitty Baby Blessings clear stamp set. Also used here is Jenni Bowlin and Basic Grey paper, Making Memories trim, and Prima flowers.
So tonight...I want to leave you with a quote...I love books with quotes in them....they touch me in an instant and always seems to bring things into perspective, and since I have been thinking a lot about motherhood lately, here is one of my favorites.
"Before you were conceived, I wanted you. Before you were born, I loved you. Before you were here an hour, I would die for you. This is the miracle of life."

And, oh, yes....my red door :)
Happy Easter!

Your posts always make me so happy to be a mom and appreciate my kiddos all the more. You are one lovely lady and mommy!
I enjoy your work so much, and can't wait to always peek at what you've been up to.
One last note...while we've always treated ear infections with a med dr., we've also solicited the help of our local chiropractor to treat lingering middle ear fluid that can interfere with hearing, etc. I started this with my now 14 yo son after he battled chronic ear infection. I've done the same with my 18 mo old son now as well and it seems to really help! JMHO, Amy

aww..I wanna hug you! It will be ok...she will get better. And I am sure no doctor has told you to have her sleep on a pillow or two? It will help. Also, taking a decongestant while ears are naggin will greatly help! Ask your dr WHICH ONE...I luv the baby card...I just can't figure out how u actually did it...lol..yep...sucker for red doors too! Melissa
I love your card and your door, and I also hope your little one was feeling much better for the Easter Bunny. A Mother understands what a child does not say therefor your little one can feel safe and comforted by snuggling in your lap and know that you will be there for her always, especially when she may feel too sick to talk, your presence is part of her medicine, Bless you for your for all the love you have to give.

Your red door is delightful Melissa ... but not quiet as delightful as you!!! Thank-you for your blog, it warms my everyday. I scrap constantly for my precious two grandchildren, and will certainly incorporate your quote within somewhere.
Belated Easter greetings from Australia.

Aww, poor sweet babe I hope she's feeling better. Ryan was sick last week, too. I so share your motherly feelings. We are so blessed to have these little angels, aren't we? Your card is so sweet. I love the yellow.

Beautiful card and sentiments! I miss those days, my two girls are 20 and 22. Rebecca’s help and suggestions were very touching! It is so nice to have supportive friends and that is the best part of this business!!
