What a fun treat to be bringing you this next group post from Papertrey Ink. As you may already know, the new Tiny Tag set (available for purchase on March 15th) is a sweet set with ideas from both Nichole Heady and myself...she has such a magical way of bringing ideas to life and I can't thank her enough for taking time to bring you Tiny Tags.
I will give you a little glimpse into my thought process as I create cards....rarely do I ever begin with my sentiment...I have found that from the beginning, I have always been drawn to using the stamps, paper, embellishments, and other design elements first....with a theme in mind of course....but when my card was near completion, I found that I didn't have room for the sentiment...I just had way too much fun with the other stuff....and continue to even today....so for quite a while now, I have loved snatching up a tag, stamping my sentiment on it, and hanging it from the center of the bow, flower, button, trinket pin, etc. to finish my card...which led me to this stamp set idea.
I have also found...that try as I might...I am more of a dimensional type of girl...I love how others are able to bring their creations to life while keeping their style so very clean, one dimensional, and simple...but for me, I have failed....so I keep creating in the manner that works best for me and enjoy the familiar process as I go along...the beauty of all of this, as I continually learn and remind myself, is that there is no right or wrong when it comes to art. So, I stick to dimensional cards...and love to make a sentiment pop or give it a little more attention by hanging it from a tag.
With this group post...as you go around and enjoy what the others have created with this set...I know you'll find some wonderful ideas of how to use this set in a way that suits your style of creating...these little babies are so much fun to work with ...my most favorite thing about the set without a doubt...is the coordinating Tiny Tags die, which enables you to cut out 10 different tiny tags at once...then you've got yourself a handful of tags to coordinate, stamp on, distress, embellish, and use however you'd like.
Along with the new Tiny Tags set and die, I also used the Cupcake Collection die here...more of that beautiful, beat up cardboard that I love...wish I could tell you this is the last you'll see of it, but I can't stop just yet. The cupcake is stamped with the new Background Basics: Twinkle stamp and you can catch a little glimpse of the new Postmarks paper, and Background Basics: Gingham on the card base.
Here are some fun links for you to browse through and enjoy:

The only thing cuter than teeny tags is teeny tags with teeny flowers or lots of buttons!

Very beautiful, Melis! Of course, everything you create is... Being one who loves small details, I'm drawn to the tiny tags, & will certainly be using these frequently. Thanks again for the magical visit to Melissa's blogland!

Oh it's SUCH a sweet set! Can't tell you how long I have been combing the aisles of big box stores, and the internet, looking for just the right tiny tag punch...and now we have 10 littles ones in a die! I forever ask the "Where to put the sentiment?" question and then stamp it last (in the wrong spot)...I call myself the "Sentiment Killer" eeeek! Thanks to you and Nichole for creating this lovely set for us! Can't wait to have it myself!

I adore your dimensional style, Melissa! Your embellished cards are a treat to the senses, and I'm so excited about your new stamp set and die. In fact, I am giddy thinking about the first time I run that die through my Cuttlebug and end up with all of those tags at once, LOL!!! It's the little things in life, I guess. Gorgeous card today and always, now I'm off to check out what the team has done with your brainchild. Thanks for inspiring us!
