Our focus over the last couple of weeks at Emma's Paperie has been on Crate Paper products. I love, love, love Crate Paper anything, so it was lots of fun to come up with a little project to share using one of their collections.
I used paper strips cut from coordinating paper from the Snow Day collection and dressed up a simple Kraft coffee bag. I looped layers of these paper strips to form a big, cheery bow for the top of the package and then added in looped ribbon to make it even a bit fuller. Petaloo berries were added to create more dimension, and then a tag and fabric brad were used to finish off the package. Just by changing the colors or sentiment on the tag you could easily take this bag from a Happy Birthday package to a package for Christmas, a baby shower, wedding, etc.
The chipboard is also from the Snow Day and Restoration collections.

Before I go, have you heard about these cookies yet? Caramel Apple Cookies?
My little one has been sick the last couple of days, and so today we were having plenty of time snuggling on the couch and these little babies popped up on the news channel. Her eyes lit right up and now we just have to give them a try. I think they look heavenly.
The photo and recipe are from Scrambledhenfruit.
Night.

Very cute card! I hope your little one feels better soon. My little guy missed Thursday and Friday from school last week. He went back yesterday but, still has a pretty yucky nose. Cold season is upon us but, he loves staying in his jammies so there was a bright side!

Love how you dressed up the bag! I would never have guessed that most of the bow was made from strips of paper. Great idea! Hope Sierra is well soon. Those cookies are so tempting!

Melissa: I just took on a new endeavor making gift enclosure cards for a small company. They don't want to use small gift enclosure cards (like the ones you would include from a florists shop). I will send you an email tomorrow with my proto-types. I need to come up with a price each. I will be making large quantities for them. Since they take SO long to make, I can't do it super cheap, yet I want to be fair. I need your input. Hope you don't mind giving me your opinion (which I value greatly). Thanks for such great inspiration.

Great article Professor. I'm from Argentina. I love Friedman point of view. I think the only thing he missed was that Humans are the worst missery on earth. The problem isn't the Free Market System. The problem is the ambitious people who make people work for pennys, waste natural resources just to make themself wealth bigger. I think that the key in economic is in the Human psychology. Free Maket is a perfect system: Adaptable, Extensible, that can get over most difficult crisis. Sorry for my english! Best regards.
