Hi again! I have a feeling that my blog may get a bit neglected for the next couple of months, but I will post as often as I can, promise!
Today's card is a just for fun card inspired by my sweet friend, Mish. I just love her style and find that I am drawn to her cozy, homespun style...I am always reminded of grandma's quilts, sippin' lemonade, sheets drying on the clothesline, and buttons and stitches when I visit her blog.
I received a delicious package from Freckled Fawn not too long ago and have been excited to create with the goodies inside....included on this card, Granny Chic Washi, Lace Doily, and Striped Twill. I also used Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar, Friendship Jar Summer Fillers, Jar and Lid die, and Jar Toppers die.
Hmmm...Granny Chic...I have to say I'm intrigued by that darling arrangement of words and already hooked. I went browsing online to see if I could get a feel for this style and wanted to share my findings with you...tell me what you think?
Purple Granny Chic...oh yes. Photo from Flickr.
Granny Chic Knee-highs...sweet! Photo from Grosgrainfabulous.
Granny Chic comfort and floral! Photo from Wheretheorchidsgrow.
Granny Chic in the cupboard...LOVE! Photo from Yourgrannywaschic.
And, my most favorite of all, because, yes it does remind me of my dear granny...photo from Rosehip.
Do you get the feel of this style? I do and I love it. I love all the memories attached to it as well.
Have a great day Friends!
Melis

I have been on your blog at work today and I noticed you are from Southern Nevada and you have horses. My daughter and husband have horses too. I also noticed that you are LDS too--saw a quote from Pres. Hinckley! DO you happen to live in Moapa Valley by any chance? My hubby has tons of relatives there. (I have even bought some stamps of the queen bees. You are awesome!!!!

Comfort, cozy, cradled, colorblissed. Your inspiring examples have me searching through my paper stach to create some ganny chics.
I love your cards.

I have never heard of this Granny Chic style before? But yes I too love it. Great photos you found. I may have to explore a little more into it... Thanks for sharing your cute card. Have a wonderful summer vacation with your girl.

Love the Granny Chic photos you posted...it reminds me so much of my Grandmother who passed a couple of years ago - especially that last photo. She crocheted up a storm and we all still have gifts that came from her hands years later. Your card is lovely...and I agree Mish's style is so wonderful! I just love making cards with her sweet sets! Your card is as usual lovely! Have a great day!
