I imagine I am not the only one with a little girl busily dreaming about her wish list for Santa. I am bound and determined to help that jolly, old fellow out and make thing easier for him this year. So, her sweet wishes written down for Santa to see are a welcome sight...helps me get in the holiday spirit even though I don't want to think about it quite yet.
One of the many things I love about this time of year is jumping from one holiday to another, back again, and then starting all over. It seems refreshing to me to create for the holidays...all of them simultaneously. For some reason, it seems that it makes this wonderful time of year last a little longer. So, today I have a Christmas card while thinking of caramel apples and making pumpkin shaped sugar cookies for tonight's Family Home Evening. Who says I cant, ha!
I used Papertrey Ink's Holiday Button Bits and coordinating die for this card along with October Afternoon and Graphic 45 paper.
I found this quote on one of my sis-in-law's Pinterest boards today and it was just what I needed to read. Love it!
Enjoy your day!

*Beautiful* card!! My little ones are starting to get excited (though they are just beside themselves for their fairy adventures next week!), and because the REAL Santa works at our Costco (he'd convince even the most suspicious adult!), they've already been able to get their lists in early. So much fun!!! <3

Melis,
I wish every child had you for a mother at least for one sweet day. You epitomize what it is to be a Mom. I love reading about your love for your daughter, and it takes me back to when I had little ones at home. Now they are having little ones of their own, and I get to enjoy the Holidays through the eyes of a child once more!
I could almost smell those pumpkin-shaped sugar cookies when I read your blog post! Thank you for putting into words for us a snippet of your wonderful life, and for helping me to remember back on my own sweet memories...
