Hello there! Happy Belated Valentine's Day...it was a doozie here, non-stop running, classroom party, lots of little last minute lists, etc. It was so very sweet though....I can't think of anywhere else I'd want to spend my afternoon than with my little girl in her classroom playing Valentine Charades and enjoying the kids as they pass out their Valentines to each other. And, to finish the day off with heart shaped mini pizzas, chocolate dipped strawberries and a movie with my husband was a great ending too.
Today's post is filled with cards I created using the remaining new release stamp sets from Papertrey Ink. This first card uses the new Wonderful Words - Hello set and coordinating die, the first in a monthly series and I instantly love it!
The little stamped border of flowers is from the My Mother, My Friend stamp set.
I created this card with my mom and little girl in mind. They have such a sweet and special bond, and creating cards for my sweet mom is one of my favorite things to do. This card showcases the new Boutique Borders: Mother with its coordinating die. I used a bit of the new Cutting Garden and Mini Blooms sets as well.
Here is the My Mother, My Friend again, using different images from it on this card. What a beautifully packed stamp set this is and I love the coordinating dies.
I also used my very most favorite alphabet set on this card as well, the new Headline Alphabet set...so trendy and basic and a must have!
Dawn McVey's new Cutting Garden set with coordinating dies is a gorgeous set...such a fresh and springy treat to stamp with.
My sentiment is stamped and matted with the My Mother, My Friend dies and the die cut and stamped flowers are embossed with Zing Mustard and Brown Sugar and then coated in iridescent glitter.
I don't know where to begin to explain my LoVe for the new Watercolor Wonder set...it's just playful and carefree and creates this instant desire to create...you'll love it. Maile is just amazing with her trendy designs. The sentiment is from another one of her sets, Mini Blooms. I used the stamping off technique and added some Mini Blooms across the paintbrush strokes as well. The Tag Sale #5 die was used to cut the tag while the Headline Alphabet die collection was used to create some useful negative space. Then of course, I to the itching to add glitter, so the tag is coated in some Doodlebug Lily White Sugar Coating...it's my favorite.
This card uses the new Irresistibly Ikat stamp set...it's amazing. I can't do it justice. I embossed the images from the set using Zing Blush and Brown Sugar and then just embellished it a bit with a chipboard button clock, sequins, buttons, and adhesive gems.
The sentiments and their fonts make me scream...I adore them!

What I love about your release post is the fact that you are able to use all the different stamps and dies and always come up with projects which are based upon a brilliant ideas. I am impressed by your creative talents. And every month I am thinkingl "How is she doing all this?". I love your hello card, the cutting garden set but my all over fave is the mothers'day car diwth Sierra in mind. Yes it's gorgeous; but the idea and thought behind this card....love it
