I love fresh springtime colors. I love pink all year round, it's no secret, is it? Emma's Paperie has the most delicious and happy color challenge posted. My card and organza gift bag were created for the color challenge and you can find all of the supplies I used on the Emma's Paperie blog.
I used some of Bo Bunny's new Prairie Chic collection, some new Pretty Little Studio paper, a lovely little envelope from Basic Grey, a Jenni Bowlin dimensional butterfly, and other treats that were screaming spring to me.
The Vanilla Bean scrunched seam binding is from Craft Spot.
The flower on the organza bag was created using some silk ruffle ribbon from Melissa Frances.
I can't wait to hear the birds sing...one of my favorite gifts of spring!
I've been trying to get my creative bug to bite again...it seems to have disappeared, but I've found that doing some purging and organizing in my craft space sometimes help to rejuvenate. Yesterday while puttering around and cleaning this basket of spring happened...just for fun and it makes me happy.
Vintage wallpaper and sheet music, a wire heart, washi, a speckled egg, scrunched seam binding...
A wooden spool, vintage trims, burlap, a postcard...
I even found one of my little girl's bobby pins under a pile of scraps. I love that her presence is everywhere and so it made its way into my basket as well :).
Happy day today!
Melis

What a beautiful basket of happiness! I, too, am waiting for spring. I saw a few signs of it here and there yesterday: bird songs outside my window, buds on my forsythia, leaves from the tulip bulbs making their way up through the soil... Spring is on it's way!
Have a wonderful day, Melissa!

As Shelby (Julia Roberts) in the movie Steel Magnolias would say, "pink, its my signature color". Yes, pink is yours too Melissa and I find myself looking at more pink myself....its so feminine.

A basket of beauty that brigthened your day. What a wonderful way to get inspired. Love that pile of fabric too:). And it's so great to read that Sierra is everywhere around the house; a wonderful blessing of having children. To feel their presence whatever you do. And your projects for Emma's Paperie are amazing; as usual...

I had extra time before my class at the gym last week, so I stopped by the magazine aisle at the nearby grocery store... as soon as I saw the Creative Spaces, I had to leaf through it until I found yours! SO beautiful, and I envy your gorgeous aged cupboards - particularly the teal ones! And your grandfather clock full of beautiful goodies is inspired. Your basket of spring reminded me of how beautiful your space is!

All these beautiful images are exactly what I needed to see today. It is cold and snowy here in CO. I also wanted to share that I picked up the creative spaces catalog a few days ago and was thrilled to see your room featured. You have a lovely space!
