There are things I can't do without when it comes to creating, first and foremost, would be my scraps, paper or the fabric variety. I think I may have hoarding tendencies :), because I keep small little snippets, plenty of them, all of them, just in case...
Today's card uses some of my most favorite snippets, all of them fabric. The new Festive Friday challenge theme is "Stars", and this is what I came up with. I used Darkroom Door's Stitched Christmas Rubber Stamp Set for my sweet, tree images and the stitching around the outside of my card. I added fabric scraps to the center of each tree, and then a bit of machine stitching to create an even more homespun look and feel.
Instead of using paper for my background, I stitched a scrap of muslin to my card base and then added stamped stars using Classic Kraft ink. I topped each tree with a vintage button, and the center tree with a glass glitter star, and a bit of vintage trim. Raspberry Truffle scrunched seam binding from My Craft Spot was the finishing touch added to the top of my card.
So, what do you hoard :) ? I have a long list, all of them craft related. I blame it on my Grandma Thelma and am proud to have inherited this trait from her.
Have a great day.
