I wasn't quite able to finish up all of my Christmas projects before Christmas came along this year, and decided that before I tucked away all of my embellishments, bit, bobs, trinkets, and things, I would get a few more things done, including this muffin tin countdown. I love making these and tucking treasures into each little nook.
I started with a Wilton 12-hole mini muffin tin and gave it several coats of Krylon Celery acrylic spray paint. I then sanded the edges and other areas to give it a beat up weathered look, and then started adding the fillings...or Christmas leftovers :). Embellishments, die cuts, flair buttons, bingo markers, chenille candy canes, etc...things left over from previous projects.
The Evergreen Chipbox from K&Co. has the perfect size numbers to fit in each muffin hole...they are so beautiful and detailed too. The collection contains chipboard numbers, letters, and vintage images. I also love using Holly Leaves & Berries picks to bring in color and elegance.
Flair Buttons make perfect little additions as well. I just adhered a magnet to the backside of each and pop them right in place. Super easy and so cute. And, of course tiny Melissa Frances bottle brush trees are the perfect size to nestle in :).
And, a quick card in wintry blues created with some older, but lovely Melissa Frances products.
Wishing you all a most wonderful and happy new year! I am so appreciative and thankful for each one of you.
