Joy. I love that word....it's one that encompasses so many things, feelings, experiences, moments, etc., but one that is also hard to reach out and grasp at times. Joy, a word that if not taken gently into our hearts and minds, and nourished with each passing day, we can easily dismiss and lose it.
I think that joy is found in the smallest of details, the tiny moments of life, in between breaths and words, sometimes found without any words at all, but is a feeling that swells in our hearts and grows as we acknowledge it and thank our Father in Heaven for that beautiful moment where joy was felt. Moments like noticing the beautiful, full moon glowing at night, hearing your little girl sing a song in her bedroom, (a happy child, is a child that sings), the feel of a warm fire on your toes at night, etc.
This time of year is filled with so many wonderful gifts of joy, waiting to be found in the blessings we already have, the gifts we happily give, kind words, a smile, a listening ear, and truly recognizing who or where the true source of joy comes from.
I also want to share a favorite song and video with you...it's truly beautiful. I have recently discovered The Piano Guys and just love their music.
And, to spread a little joy, the winner of a Christmas care package from me to one of you is....BETH M. Congratulations Beth! I'll be in touch to get your address.
