Hello Monday! I'm off on a mini road trip with my best buddy this morning, heading to meet up with approximately 36 of her cousins, big and small :). I count them all as some of our greatest blessings. Today on Nichole Heady's blog, I have a tutorial up and ready for you to try out this week that is all about texture and dimension...and I used some chalk for the first time on my paper-crafts.
This project begins with an Impression Plate from Papertrey Ink, the Herringbone Impression Plate, and is then followed by chalk in a variety of soft colors. I used Pebbles Inc. chalk, but any will do, as well as Gelatos, and I even thought some soft pastel eye shadows you may have on hand but don't use may work...need to give 'em a try.
After the embossing from the Impression Plate was coated in chalk, I then used my Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets and stamped over the embossing and chalk and loved the results. I also used Fancy Flourishes (on my tag) and Fancy Folk Art (for my sentiment).
I had so much fun trying out this technique and can't wait to try it using different Impression Plates, stamps, and colors.
You can view my tutorial HERE.
Enjoy your Monday!
