Hello June! How did you sneak up on me so quickly? Where do May go? June brings with it heat and wind, camping, cousins, time with grandma, and no school:).
The Papertrey Ink Sr. Team challenge this month is to revisit the Simply Jane stamp set...oh, what a lovely set! My first card uses the Simply Jane dies as well to create layers and dimension. The frame stamp in this set is so beautiful and I knew I had to use it as my focal point, so after die cutting it from Sweet Blush cardstock, I stamped it in watermark ink and embossed it using Zing! Brown Sugar embossing powder. In the corner I stamped floral images from the Simply Jane set to bring in a bit of soft color.
I then stamped my silhouette image on a layer of vellum using watermark ink, and then embossed it using white embossing powder. I accented the frame with die cut lace flowers cut using the Ruby Rose die and The Sweet Life leaves.
For my next project, I took a simpler approach, creating a one layer tag using images from this set stamped onto a die cut Tag Sale #10 cut from Kraft cardstock.
Once again I used watermark ink to stamp my silhouette image and then embossed it using white embossing powder. The necklace was then stamped and embossed with gold embossing powder. I used the stamping off technique for my Pure Poppy flowers. The flourishes were stamped using Classic Kraft ink and my sentiment across the bottom was stamped in Smokey Shadow.
I then matted my stamped tag to Chocolate Remix paper die cut using the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 die.
Simply Jane is such an unforgettable set...I love using it with different color combinations and the sentiments included are perfect for so many thoughtful occasions.
Thanks for visiting. These other designers have projects using this set to share with you as well:
