Such a heartwarming day....one that leaves my heart smiling tonight.
Hope yours is smiling too:)
Lots of things to leave me happy tonight...currently it's my iPod as I do a little seat dancing while writing to you :) Are you a seat dancer too...perhaps just a toe tapper---nothin' wrong with that :)
Tonight I wanted to share these shabby, pocket tags I created for a past issue of Paper Craft magazine. Pretty sure I shoved every little thing I ever loved on these :)----that would be Making Memories paper and metal snowflakes, jute, Pebbles inc. vintage stickers, acrylic paint, ink, wide grosgrain...ohhhh and those darling coin envelopes from Bazzill. I can still remember how much fun these were to make....gonna have to make more, but I think I'll put these in etsy for you in just bit---I can totally see them on a package wrapped with my favorite Kraft paper--kind of homespun and heartwarming, huh?
So.....happy WCMD week! Let's start having a little fun. I have TWO copies of my most favorite Paper Crafts special issue to give away. All you have to do is leave me a note on this post telling me what makes you happy...that's it! I'll draw 2 names randomly on Wednesday October 1st---Happy October! I'll announce the winners on the morning of October 2nd.
So...I've already told you that my iPod makes me happy.....and here is a quote I read today that sums up other things that make me happy as well.
"Everybody is hunting for happiness -- and happiness is everywhere. beauty, simplicity, and peace are the least expensive things in the world. Happiness is supremely simple: as simple as religion, when it is expressed in the one word, "Love." As simple as sunshine, fresh air, cold water. All the really big things of this little world carry no price tags."
Lydia N. Jones
So true....love doesn't cost a penny....and it is more powerful that anything. So much good can come from expressing it, showing it, and sharing it. Our Heavenly Father gave us the beauty of the world to remind us of His love and to make us happy...I for one LOVE nature and the glorious beauty that surrounds us. So much to enjoy and add happiness to our daily lives.
Night everyone.
Melis
What a great idea Melissa! I think I'm happiest when I'm sitting beside my hubby, leaning in to each other, enjoying just being together. I was 32 when I found him, 33 when I married him, and now almost 25 years since we first met, our love and liking of each other is stronger than ever. He is both my rock and my soft place to land, my encourager and my enabler, my joy and my lauaghter, my memories of the past and my hope for the future. We love getting out and doing things together, but are equally happy just sitting watching TV. He is my love, and he makes me happiest! Thanks, Becky G.

Hi Melissa,
Of course I'm happy when I'm with my family. Colors make me happy, meeting good friends too. Sharing a passion with others makes me happy too. Have a nice day!

It's Spring here in Australia and what's making me happy at the moment is sitting outside early in the morning, watching the sun rise and listening to all the glorious birds singing :)

Summer, I love hot sunny days at the beach with my husband and kids and it's spring here in New Zealand so the thought of summer on it's way is making me happy too. Also quite evenings in with my husband, curled up on the couch watching a DVD. And blue skys, looking up at them always makes me smile.

Well I know what will make me happy soon is getting married and moving into our new house! Its been 8 years with my BF and a 1 1/2 yrs building the house, I'm so ready! So many things make me happy I don't think I can pick just one. I love the peacefulness and serenity of the woods, listening to the birds, watching a heron swim low over the water, my kitties, other people's joy, I better stop because I could go on and on! Thanks for this fun post, it was a great way to start my day and appreciate the little things in life!

Listening to the sound of my children giggling makes me really really happy. Just the thought of it brings a smile to my face.

First of all I want to let you know that I often look at your blog, you make great things!
What makes me happy? Alot of things, the little things in life.
Making a card and send it to someone who is very happy with it, that make me happy. If I get a call or a card back or see a smiling face and know that the person is happy with the attention of a card, that is great to see.
Looking at my two birds make me happy too. It is great to see them together. One is helping making the other clean or when they are talking with each other.
Falling leaves because it is autumn! Or seeing falling snowflackes because it is winter!
greetings, Nanda

Melissa, I do enjoy your blog, even more - yours is my favorite and I spend a lot looking into each detail of your creations! And I do think you are a great mom, all you say about your dear daughter is so loving and warm, I'd like to be a mom like you)))
And what makes me happy - my little baby daughter and every moment I spend with her. Only now I understand what is to love and to be a mum, though I have a lot to learn!
Kindest regards from Russia)

So many things make me happy...just one is making a card and sending it to someone I love. Sometimes just sticking a little note into one of my teens' backpacks! Adorable tags, my dear!
