In our house, we are big on tea parties...the kind you get all dressed up in your very best princess dress and plastic pearls for....some delightful, cold, clear water is served along with gourmet pretzels, carrot sticks, and sometimes maybe even a cupcake :)
To kick off Papertrey Ink Release night, you're invited to tea and cupcakes...right here...princess dress or not :) First things first...while I would love to admit frosting these beautiful little cakes...I haven't the slightest idea how to do such a thing...my talented friend did these for a wedding...I just baked 'em...that's all I know how to do...BUT I can eat the frosting like a Pro. :)
I simple ADORE this new stamp set from Nichole called Tea for Two. I don't think I've ever seen a set as irresistible as this and so much fun to use on top of it all. I decided to make a cute presentation out of these shabby cupcakes by placing them in a small round clear top tin. Each tin is wrapped in coordinating paper, tied with ribbon, and then some yummy fabric used in place of tissue paper in order to create a fancy little get-up :)...simple and fun. My supply list can be found HERE in the Papertrey Ink gallery. Be sure to check out the other designer's amazing creations...all which can be found HERE.
Off to make sure little arms, feet, and sweet cheeks are tucked in for the night.
Melis
Melissa, you can jazz up anything! This is so lovely! The rosettes add the perfect accessory to the teapot!

Oh, wow! These are fabulous. First, I love the Foof paper! Perfect with the little tea pot. I was going to proclaim you the diva of all things crafty if you had said you frosted those yourself!! (Hee hee,,,you really are the craftiest queen I know, though.) Amazingly beautiful, once again.

Beautiful card and fabulous cupcakes. We used to have a tea room in town and every now and then we would get dressed up and go to tea on Saturday. I loved just sitting there looking at the amazing china, tea cakes and the girls in their dresses. I really miss it and your beautiful cupcakes have brought back very fond memories. I thank you for this.

I was disecting the pictures literally, just as I got to the part where you owned up to NOT doing the icing on those cakes. LOL. I was sitting here going "Hmmmm, now how does she do that??.... and the computer screen was like 2" from my face. Mmmmm, I sure wish I could taste them right now. I have no princess dress but I have several TIARA'S, ROFLOL.
(well if the tiara fits.........)
