Today I am teary....the realization that my little one will be gone away from me all day as she starts 1st grade had been on my mind continually. My life truly changed for the better the day she was placed in my arms. She has made me stretch, grow, bend, and melt in ways that I needed...mothering has softened me and I am so thankful that she is the sweet little girl I have the privilege of loving forever.
I was given a kit from Bety not too long ago and was asked to create a few Mother's Day cards using it. I couldn't resist including a peek at my Artistic Bliss Josette Craft Tote in the last picture :) I adore it...
This kit is just as sweet as can be...I enjoyed working with the soft colors, trims, and darling accents. You can purchase Bety's Mother's Day card kit HERE in her store called Dream Designs.
I'm so looking forward to Mother's Day...it is truly a special day for me personally and I have the most wonderful mom...she means the world to me. My mother-in-law teaches me so much, and my sweet grandmothers who have passed on quite some time ago, have left such an impression on me. I feel so lucky to have had these amazing women in my life.
I'll leave you with another favorite quote today, and then it's off to get my babe from school.
"Beyond all lessons, beyond the model she provided, my mother gave me a parent's ultimate gift: she made me feel lovable and good. She paid attention; she listened; she remembered what I said. She did not think me perfect, but she accepted me, without qualification."

Melissa, I adore what you've done with Bety's kit. Your work is so inspiring - more than you'll ever know. Please don't be teary any more. It will be alright when September rolls around. I promise.

Hey Melissa. . . I know just how you are feeling! My sweet firstborn started 1st grade this year and I could barely stand the thought of it. I took him to class and when I was walking to my car, I felt for all the world like a huge chunk of my heart and soul was back in the classroom. The amazing part, thankfully, came when I went and picked him up! His face was glowing from all the fun he'd had. He chattered nonstop about what he'd done, who he had played with and "Mom, did you know that we get recess EVERY SINGLE DAY?!?!?!?!". It was tough but oh, to watch him grow is amazing! So, from one mom who has survived it (and I was nervous about that at first! :-) . . . .blessings to you! Enjoy today and the fantastic summer ahead! :-)

Can you feel it Melissa?????????????? THAT WAS A HUG FROM ME!!! I know how you feel. When I get home from dropping the other two to school, I can hear Noah shouting, " Mummy's home", then I hear the patter of his little feet running to the front door to see me with his arms open wide and he says "I miss you, Mummy". My heart melts and thta is it for the day - I am his slave :-)

Adorable! And I love the quote!! I have a question concerning the cards: How did you "write" the sentiments? Are they rub-ons or printed or stamps?? Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us!
Greetings from Germany
