I want her to believe in herself...to love and accept herself and others...to look inside the heart...to stand up for truth...to pray always...to be peaceful and compassionate...to know she is a child of God...to believe she can do anything...to be blessed with the gift of charity...
She is my happiness....she and her daddy are the most wonderful gifts I have ever been given. I'm so thankful they chose me.
I have been slowing down lately....my crafting is more about pleasure instead of passion...I have lost the fire which has pushed me so intensely....but the fire to cherish, love, and enjoy my little one has only grown stronger...there is so much to teach her, and I need all of the guidance I can possibly get....life is sweet, short, and oh so beautiful. Isn't it wonderful to walk through the path of life holding hands with those you love....it would be meaningless without them.
Just something that made me smile today....created with new Collage Press paper, a Maya Road Cream and Brown Journaling Sheer, trinket pin, and chipboard, Doodlebug glitter, and Coffee Shop Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels.
I've got to finish up my Sharing Time for tomorrow...tuck in a tired babe...have popcorn and a movie with my boy....and tidy up a bit.
I'll leave you with this quote from Victor Hugo:
"Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same knowing she has wings."
Goodnight friends.
Melis

today I want to thank you not only for posting gorgeous art work but also for your lovely writing. I feel the same passion for my children however I am not nearly as poetic about it. Thanks for putting words not only to your feelings but mine also.

I visit your blog as much for your words as your cards. Both are art.

Melissa, the thoughts you shared today are so true! Life is sweet and short and beautiful. I lost my dear friend on Friday morning. A reminder again that life is short and no one knows just how much longer we will live on this earth. Cherish every moment with your family and loved ones!

It's good not to push until you loose this creating passion - I think it has it's own cycle at times. Good to keep things in perspective - sometimes I wish I could have those earlier years back. My daughter is 13 now and things are just different... And the harder I try to hold on, the more she pushes...

I'm much older than you are and at a different stage of life, but I appreciate your bits of wisdom that you share. You are wise beyond your years. Keep cherishing that little one -- she's at a very precious age! (And, I love your cards, too!)

It is wonderful that you have a great guy and a beautiful daughter! I too was just thinking today how lucky I am.....My sweet hubby told me at dinner tonight (with our two children) how he loves the fact that we laugh so much as a family.......I thought that was so sweet for him to notice that..........
