I'm sorry for my long break between posts...I haven't forgotten you....but have taken a bit of a break and will this week as well....I might pop in with an occasional something or other. I have a few personal goals and things on my to-do list that I am excited to focus on...things that are very important to me and that will require my undivided attention for a while...but I'll be around as time permits.
I'm feeling awfully spring-y lately...the whether has been a roller coaster ride, but whenever it's sunny and nice, we head outside for a bike ride, a walk, and even a baseball game with Sierra, her little cousins, Great Grandpa, Gramps, and a few of us oldies in the park yesterday after our church meetings...It was the highlight of my day.
This first card was created using the Crafty Secrets Spring Homespun Cotton Scraps...that chick melts my heart.
Next up are a few Papertrey Ink release projects...such beautiful new stamp sets available now.
This first card uses the Distressed Stripes stamp set...I created a plaid background for my chipboard frame using Spring Moss, Spring Rain, and Sweet Blush ink. The frame and scroll are from Maya Road, the flower from Prima, and the wing from Crafty Secrets.
This simple little card uses the new Outlines Alphabet stamp set...I couldn't resist trying a bit of glitter as a filler for my sentiment on this card...Maya Road alphabet sheers were used here as well as Melissa Frances and Making Memories paper and a Prima flower.
One last project before I get busy for the day...
This mini card and tag set was created using the Delightful Dahlia stamp set....sooooo very frilly, ruffly, and sweet....I used Papertrey Ink's new Dahlia dies to cut the dahlias first, then stamped them, then cut them a second time from vellum and popped the vellum layer onto to create a soft look...vellum is one of my most favorite things to play with right now.
If you're searching for inspiration, please check out the Papertrey Ink Designer's Gallery...it is filled with the most beautiful creations I have ever seen. Nichole has such an incredible team of designers!
Time for me to go...I hope to be back very soon if I can reach my goals early this week.
Thanks so much for always stopping by.
Melis
P.S. A happy, happy birthday to my sweet Dad...I love you more than you'll ever know.

I simply adore your work and am always so inspired by you. I am curious today, however, as to what type ribbon you're using (both on the Spring Chick card and the Hugs card). I so love the crinkly homespun look to it. Thanks so much.

What kind of ribbon have you been using? It looks so lush and beautiful, I would love to pick some of that up.

I read all the time and find everything so wonderful and leave feeling inspired. I wonder if you would be willing to give a tutorial on your wonderful ribbon ties/bows. The are a work of art and I would love to do them. I totally understand if you don't want to give out the secret! You could make an e-zine and I would gladly pay for it!! Thanks for the inspirational gifts on your blog!
