I'm happy to be joining in on the Papertrey Ink group post this month....it's always so much fun for me to be inspired and challenged to think of creative uses for Papertrey Ink stamps...I love them so. This month is certainly no different....I am crazy for Heather's new stamp set called Mini Scrapbook Series: Tabs...it will be available to purchase on the 15th of March.
I was challenged to use the tabs on a scrapbook related project...I LOVE creating pages all about the loves in my life...I can't even begin to tell you how much it means to me to look at this little bean of mine, everything I love about her captured in a single photo, and reminisce, remember, dream, hope, wish, and fall even more in love with her. It's sweetness for the soul I tell you.
For this page, I used the tabs as a scalloped border down the page...I stamped each tab with phrases and words found in the stamp set that I felt were fitting for this particular picture and stage in life....then I glittered them to dress them up and make them stand out a bit more.
I used my favorite Papertrey Ink colors here...Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist, and Spring Moss...they are so soft and lovely and always compliment the Melissa Frances paper and accents I love to use so often.
I stamped the bottom of the envelope using the Simple Alphabet set and Smokey Shadow ink...it reads, "silver in the sky"...a phrase from a song that reminds me of my little girl, her fascination with the stars...all that she is deserving of...the wonderful, good things that are waiting for her in this life and in the next. I love incorporating hidden journaling on my layouts and mini albums...I think of these little packages as gifts that one day she'll enjoy opening and reading over and over again.
All of the Papertrey Ink designers have created special projects for you using this stamp set...here are links to their blogs...I can't wait to have a peek myself:
Nichole Heady, Betsy Veldman, Dawn McVey, Debbie Olson, Heather Nichols, Lisa Johnson, Mish Wooderson, Niki Estes, Kim Hughes, Maile Belles, and Erin Lincoln.
