Nothin' much to say today....life is good...I'm dreaming of sweet, spring greens...and veggies popping up in a garden I won't have this year....dreaming of the fruit trees that will someday have plump treats on them for me to make into jam, jelly, fruit rolls, pies, etc....I love it here...it will be a lot of hard work, but such a wonderful reward waiting for us...oh, and I can't wait to have chickens roaming about...I have always wanted some...first though...a fence. I think I know what we'll be doing this spring and summer.
Thanks to our photo challenges, I've started to enjoy mixing in brighter colors lately...challenge myself in the color category a bit. This card uses Darkroom Door stamps including Butterflies and Ornate Elements rubber stamp sets with a Wordstrip from the Viva la Flora collection. The paper is from Anna Griffin and Basic Grey. Scrunched seam binding of course from Memriemare and the flower from the craft store.
This card uses one of Papertrey Ink's new Tin Types Impression Plates...I heart it...afraid I may wear it out....
I used a vintage scrap from Crafty Secrets Garden Creative Scraps, a sticker from American Crafts, a rhinestone buckle and tea-stained twill tape.
One last card before I go start dinner... This card was created for the color challenge on Emma's Paperie blog. A complete supply list can be found HERE. The turtles melt my heart and make me smile.
More projects can be found HERE on the Emma's Paperie blog along with sooooooo many new products.
Lastly, I have received a lot of questions concerning envelopes and how I package up my cards when I send them....I have a secret...some may not like to hear...but something I enjoy doing. I totally forget about the envelopes when creating cards....I don't like to be limited to what I can shove in a tiny little pocket...so I just create what I want and then when it comes time to mail it, I tuck the card inside a beautiful glassine bag...you can find them HERE and HERE (make sure you buy the correct size for your cards)....they are opaque and look so pretty with something inside...then I use a padded envelope to ship it to wherever it needs to go, or just use the glassine bag as the presentation when hand delivering the card. Hope that helps a bit.
Off to make Chicken Noodle Soup for my crew.
Night.

These are just adorable Melissa. I am waiting for our local Archivers to get the new Basic Grey this weekend. I can't wait. I have had my eye on that Green one for a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me such a sweet comment. I very much enjoy these color challenges.
What you said about our children growing up and watching time fly is so true. My son is 10 and I fell like there is always things I want to do with him, that don't get accomplished. I have said for 3 years now we were going to go ice skating downt town before it gets too warm. We haven't done that yet. Thanks for the post. It helped to remind me how precious our children our and how we can never get time back once it is gone.
Have a great day! :D
