Something sweet and irresistible is coming your way. Tonight the Papertrey Ink Design Team members each get to introduce you to a new set soon to be released on May 15th called Just for You.
This set was created by Lisa Johnson and was created with homemade gift-giving in mind...I am smitten with it and can envision so many possibilities.
Our challenge for the group post tonight was to create a homemade gift using this new set...but also to share with you another area of interest...something else we love creating besides cards and the usual paper-crafted suspects :).
I chose to create a gift with fabric and my sewing machine...I have loved sewing for years....there are times I crave it and I've always found that fabric and patterned paper are two things I can't seem to live without...to me, they go hand in hand and compliment each other perfectly.
This stuffed sewing heart has many uses...initially I thought it would be fun to make a beautiful hanging pin cushion...one that could be used as a decoration as well. Then I started adding bits and bobs of my favorite things to it and I realized that this would be such a fun way to give embellishments away to someone who loved paper crafting or sewing. Everything is attached with trinket pins from Maya Road...easy to use, replace, move around, etc. The buttons are stacked, my tea-stained twill wrapped in a loose flower, satin wings from Memrie Mare's etsy shop stacked and pinned together so they can be easily found, a sewing pattern flower created with Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms II #2 Die Collection, tea-stained trim, and a few vintage rhinestones included as well.
To finish it off and present it as a gift I attached a tag that was created with the Just for You stamp set.
This gift uses satin ribbon in Simply Chartreuse...a new color from Papertrey Ink...Lavender Moon, Spring Moss, and Ripe Avocado ink, Vintage Cream, Simply Chartreuse, and Sweet Blush buttons, and Vintage Cream cardstock and Spring Moss cardstock.
Join me in checking out these other links...I can't wait to see what the other Design Team members have created using this set...they are always so inspiring.

There is so much to look at and enjoy here. The buttons and decorative pins are so beautiful. It would be a lovely display for brooches etc (or maybe just leave it be). Great Job!
