~early morning swim lessons.
~sitting in the sun and reading every single word in my new favorite book, Where Women Create.
~the sight of my little one smiling while she learns to swim...with her giant goggles on, sputtering, all wet, and beautiful.
~Cafe Rio night...I'm cooking Lime Rice, Shredded Beef, Black Beans....mmmm...
~hanging baskets and potted flowers on my front porch...for the first time.
~an afternoon chat on the phone with my husband...my sis-in-law...my mom.
~pink, aqua, cream.
~rhinestones, bits of trim scraps, coffee stained tags, and chipboard.
~a clean house after a few days of neglect.
~a walk to the chicken coop to feed the chickens watermelon rinds...never knew how much I would love having them.
~each of you....in your own very special, unique way...for your visits, your thoughtful hearts, your kind words, and your time....thank you for lifting me.
Melis
What wonderful thoughts and a perfect card :-)

I love Where Women Create! So envious of the unusual spaces and the freedom to have a room just for my art and nothing else. So many talented ladies out there.
Including you!

I was lucky enough to go to the Farm Chicks show June 5th and 6th.Jo Packman was there signing her books. How I wish I could have pulled myself away from all the vintage wares to meet her. Hopefully she'll be there next year.

I so enjoy seeing all the little details you put together...you make it obvious that one can use the smallest snippets from squares of fabrics to a single tiny flower, to make something beautiful.
And as always, love sharing in your inspiring thoughts.

Absolutely charming! And - I saw the companion book to the one you mentioned - same day read it in your blog! They look very inspiring!
Question - I am wondering if you would ever consider demonstrating how you make the beautiful bows out of the seam binding. They look like they may be double bows???? They are beautiful and hoping you will share someday!
Thank you!
