Floating along with bumps throughout the path today....as always....learning how to stop, slow down, and remember what it was like to be a child...learning to be "fun mom" as I always challenge myself to be each summer and sometimes she shows up...sometimes she's tired...sometimes she's preoccupied...and sometimes I have to stop and remind her to just love, listen, enjoy, and cherish the moment...and it may not happen until the little monster is tucked snuggly in bed, smelling sweet and looking perfectly sweet as well...but it does happen.
I love the vintage image on this card....I used the Sew Nice Creative Scraps from Crafty Secrets on this card along with the Material Girl stamp set. The image reminds me of the sweet joys of motherhood...having your little crew around you, underfoot, with pudding smeared on their faces, clothes, and then on your walls, but with a song in your heart all the while...the song is there....for me it gets buried sometimes, but then it arrives and life becomes that much sweeter because I am living in the moment. The scrunched seam binding is from This Good Day.
Another shabby Birthday Book done for a sweetheart etsy customer. I love making these....I have received a few inquiries about them, and I am more than happy to create you one as well....just email me for the specifics.
And lastly....a little something for the Darkroom Door blog using the new Frangipani photo stamp...which I love...who wouldn't love something with the name of Frangipani...I wish we had these lovely flowers here. I also used the new French Script Background stamp as well...it will go down with me to my grave...I love it so.
And new Photobooth...
The lovely scrunched seam binding on this card is from Memrie Mare's etsy shop.
Hope you're all happy and well.
Melis

Oooo Pretty things to look over! Love the way you have tied the ribbon on the first card. Love your Birthday Book idea with each month so uniquely designed. Pretty card at the end. Must say the picture looks like my mother on her wedding day!

Hi Melissa, I can't really find your email address so I'm leaving a comment to ask if you can tell me where u get those lovely ribbons with the 'soft'look from? I live in Singapore and am not sure if I can get them shipped to me but it'll be nice if I can find out where to get them. I don't even know the specific name for them so I can't even hunt them down in my local shops. U can email me at [email protected] to let me know. Thanks so much!!

Your postings always remind us to stop and enjoy life, even with the bumps in the road. Thanks for sharing your lovely thoughts with us.

You know what I really love about your blog? The REAL reason I check it? Because you inspire me to be a better mom. Of course, I LOVE your things, as well. But you really do portray for me the kind of mom I want to be. Thank you.

Oh Melissa, all your projects are so sweet! I love how you added a little pink shading to the floral background stamp on your Darkroom door card. Just scrumptious!
