and silly sidewalks...
How I love this age...not mine :)...my little girl's age. We've started driving daddy nuts by listening to Christmas music...today while We Wish You a Merry Christmas was playing she came and asked me what glitter pudding was....I corrected her and said "figgy pudding"....she said "no...glitter pudding". I smiled and said glitter pudding was extra tasty this time of year.
Then of course came Silver Bells and "silly sidewalks, busy sidewalks"....I've decided to not correct her, but enjoy every bit of the funny things that come out of her mouth....I love my little buddy.
There is a toasty, tasty, warm, and melty new color palette up at The Color Room this week....I was a bit fearful of it at first as it didn't contain an ounce of pink....but I am loving it now...who needs pink anyway, huh?
I used Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms #2 Die Collection to cut the sewing pattern and then coated the layers with Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Mist. The sentiment is from Mega Mixed Messages.
The bitty mushrooms (which I can't get enough of and think you'll love them too) are from Meyer-Imports...I never though in a million years that mushrooms and I would get along...I owe mushrooms everywhere an apology....I just don't love them on my pizza.
Lastly.....and this is a miraculous announcement....my Christmas cards have been ordered and are here...and I am smitten. I *heart* Tiny Prints...in fact, I'm going back for some of their cute, cute Ornament Cards...they're round and can hang on trees everywhere with the faces of your little beloveds smiling back at everyone.
Here is what our card looks like...
I chose the Initialed Wreath Tri-fold as it is different and unique and I was able to load it with oodles of pictures.
Sigh....I can't stop looking at them....they just make me happy...must be that little girl. Thank you to my super sweet sis-in-law for taking the photos....they are treasures. Thank you Tiny Prints.....I'm coming back for more and more.
Enjoy your night.

I love that Just because card, such a wonderful color combo, but don't throw out pink just yet. I really love your Christmas card, how fun and the pictures of your little bean are fantastic! Did you take them? But most of all I love that you call your little bean, your little buddy. She's a lucky little girl, and I love how she is right where she belongs.

Don't throw away your pink :) but this card just took my breath away. It looks "cosy and warm" but also elegant, chic and romantic. I am always impressed by the way you are mixing colors and yes; I keep staring at this beauty. I love it.
And your Christmas card; Sierra is gorgeous and I love the design of this perfect Christmas card.

I love that banner. I will have to make a few of these after Christmas. I'm with you on NOT correcting some of the incorrect language our kids use. My daughter used to always say "lasterday" instead of "yesterday". I tried to correct her a few times but I just loved how sweet it sounded. That only lasted about a year maybe a little more but it was when she was real little. She also would say "patterins" instead of "patterns" when she was with me at the sewing store. There was this country song on the radio "Bubba Shot the Juke Box" and she would sing "Bubba shot the JUICE box". It would put a smile on my face the entire day! We just have to enjoy them while they are little and so innocent because once they go to school most of that almost disappears.
