Well, I just swept up the last bit of Christmas dust....toys are in their new homes, my little one going through them all again just like she just opened them...trying to keep up with a new Christmas puppy and kitten, and ready to put my feet up and enjoy the last few hours until we're back to the regular routine...sometimes I love the normalcy of every day life...all of the time though, I love having my little bean home with me. How can I resist her?
Her new favorite things in the whole wide world right now are her hot rollers, fingernail polish, Moose, the puppy, Daffodil, the kitten (both complete surprises to us, but not-returnable...which is just fine...Sierra's pets are smothered with her love and attention) Sara, her American Girl doll, and the dollhouse that Santa brought....she's very girlie at the moment, I know it won't last long....she'll be back to playing GI Joe in no time at all...I love every side of her sweet little self. Can you believe that I wanted to cut her hair into a bob? It hangs almost to her bottom...and I'm a sucker for bobs on little girls....but am so happy her daddy talked me into keeping it long...I am smitten with her Shirley Temple curls.
I'm in Valentine mode...how can I not be when it comes to cupids, wings, glitter, trim, hearts, flowers, and all things that speak love...
This shabby bundle contains three handmade love notes using some digital images I found on etsy, celery painted chipboard, trims, scrunched seam binding, trinket pins, flowers,...all the fixins...
The sentiments on the cards are from the Daily Designs Sentiments stamp set and the sentiment stamped on the front of the bundle is from the Signature Greetings stamp set. The paper is all from Melissa Frances, frames from Maya Road and Tattered Angels, and scrunched seam binding and satin wings from Memrie Mare and This Good Day.
Well friends....back to mama duty. My little one is calling, curls and all. Time to fill her tummy and get the bedtime stories rolling....sweet and simple pleasures for this mama.
Happy January.
Melis

Oh, those curls adorn your little one so well! She is pretty, just like, I'm sure, her mama :) ... and your card set is so lovely... wonderful way to begin the year and the soon to come Valentine season. Can I bet that you used your new camera to take all these photos? Methinks I see a difference in them already! :) hugs and happy new year wishes...

I so look forward to seeing your creations, you have such a talent. Your little one is adorable and I'm so glad you kept her curls they suit her. We also have put away the last of Christmas and my little one (3 year old Granddaughter) has settled down with her Alphie the Robot to learn about Animals. Sadly she doesn't have a girlie bone in her body (so unlike her Mommy), maybe she will grow one....lol.

Just finished putting away the Christmas decorations which always makes me sad. That's why I love snowman/winter theme items as I can leave them out a bit longer! The curls on your little girl remind me of those Shirley Temple curls my mother made for me and how I loved them. The card set is absolutely beautiful, as always!

Your little bean is quite the beauty with her pretty curls. Isnt it fun how they can be so girly and then such a tom boy! Those are the most beautiful Valentine creations. You so inspire me with all your fabulous talent.

Your first post of 2011 and it's gorgeous. I love the stories about your family; they always make me smile. And your cards?
This is one bundle of love, joy and beauty....
Holiday is over now and everything is back to normal. I think Sierra can hardly wait to come home from school to her puppy and kitten.(and her mother of course:)!)
I hope your day is wonderful; even though it is quiet again around the house.

A puppy and a kitten? Is this in addition to Flour/Flower? What a lucky little girl!
By the way, it always feels like Valentine's Day around here. You couldn't hide the love if you tried.

Her curls are the cutest, sweetest things, and I envy them so!! My 2 year old barely has a fringe to her chin, and my 7 month old is as bald as can be... I hope someday I can get such beautiful curls out of at least one of them!
PS... your projects are just STUNNING, as they always are :)

LOVE the curls....that picture is absolutely adorable. And, as the mother of only boys myself, I had a lot of fun reading all the girly things she's loving these days. I'm hoping for at least a niece at some point in life so I can spoil her! Thanks for sharing :)
