Ms. Aaron B

Lovely card! I am also a PW junkie-try the her pound cake and my DH loves both of the MM sandwiches. I read that book a while back and LOVED it. I also would recomend Water for Elephants and the the help. Thanks for sharing!!!

Oh,you're making me hungry! I'll have to try these recipes. I love to read, so I'll have to pick up this book. Love the card--the ribbon looks like a beautiful texture.

If I tell you my favourite recipes you will think (perhaps correctly) that I only bake rather than cooking. Anyway, I love her chocolate sheet cake and her brownies with icing as thick as the brownies themselves!
Lovely card Melissa.
Oh, and, I have looked several times at that book and have never picked it up but now I have another reason to put it on my list. Thank you.

Beautiful card Melissa!

My favorite PW recipe so far is her chicken salad, it's divine :)

Thank you for sharing. Love the cards. Beautiful and a bit different. Have a great weekend.

Oh my goodness, I LOVE PW's Sour Cream Noodle Bake, too! And The Forgotten Garden is one of my faves, too! Great minds, I guess, lol! Love your card, DUH!

Your card is beautiful! I love the bright happy colors! PW is my favorite. I have tried a lot of her recipes, they are All so good. I usually make one or two of her things (at least) a week. My kids always ask, is this PW- if the dish is good :) The Forgotten Garden is on my list to read. Have a good weekend.

Stunning card! Love the bold colors :) TFS the recipe site and the book!! Since I am fairly new to your blog, I hadn't heard of PW before, can't wait to try something :) Wonder if that book is at my library yet?! Have a wonderful day

beautiful card. love PW too, have tried the mocha brownies (not sure if that's the official title), yummy. love Kate Morgan too, she has another book too, also very good.

Beautiful card! I'm a subscriber to your blog and love your vintage shabby chic style, it's wonderful. I've never tried the PW recipes but the recipes you listed sound delicious. The Forgotten Garden is one of my favorite books as well, although I was disappointed when I read The Distant hours after loving TFG. If you're a reader and interested, I joined the online book site Goodreads and have found some excellent books, great reviews and book loving friends. PS another favorite for me is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. You won't be disappointed.

Dear My Melissa - I adore your card! ADORE it, I tell you! My DH cooks PW's recipes all the time. I pick the ones that interest me, then I email them to him. When I get home from work, I usually find that he's made that particularly dish for me. Thank you for the reading recommendation - I'll have to find that book.

i have made PW's peach crisp - it has maple cream sauce which i didn't make..but this is the BEST crisp! it even stays CRISP after refrigeration. you can nuke it and it still says crisp! it's DELISH!! try it for sure! makes a great autumn dessert! i just went to and bought the kate morton book. can't wait to read it. i hve probably 20 books in my craft room waiting to be read..ah!
i hope that you have a great weekend. take care

Hi Melissa! I hope you are well. Incredible color combination on this card – makes me happy just looking at it! I don't do much baking anymore but that muffin recipe looks too good to resist. Wishing you a beautiful weekend. – g

Such a pretty, bright card! Love that pink and the great ribbon:)

I love Pioneer Woman too. I bought her cookbook and her love story book. Beautiful! I think I found out about her from you when you had a link to her chocolate cake. Yum! I've been hooked since:)

Beth Norman

Gorgeous, gorgeous card. Love those bright colours. My fav recipe of the Pioneer Woman is her olive bread. I've got that same book and have it in my upcoming pile. Right now, I'm reading The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo.

Just printed the Sour Cream Noodle Bake recipe - it looks absolutely wonderful.

Love your creations and thanks for sharing your love of PW - she's on my list as well.

Love Kate Morton and The Forgotten Garden......spellbinding! I haven't read any of her other books yet but they're on my list. Any other good suggestions? Maybe you should start a monthly "book recommendation".
