Today's Papertrey Ink group post showcases the new Stitches & Swirls stamp set designed by Nichole. This little set has worked its way right into my heart without any problem at all...it's darling and effortless...meaning the images speak for themselves and do all the work for you without much effort on your part. Whether you decide to color in the images like I did on my card, add buttons to the blossoms, add hand-stitching, emboss the images, or any number of techniques, you really don't need much other than the stamp set itself.
For my project I chose to focus on coloring in the images which you can see on my card. I used Copic markers and Stickles glitter to add just a bit of glimmer. Super quick and easy. I also added in an image, sentiment, and die cut from the Love Lives Here set along with using the Tag Sale #5 die.
I created a pincushion button jar and stamped directly onto the muslin to embellish the top of the jar just a bit with the help of a Sweet Blush button and trinket pins.
Just add buttons and a wooden spool with Baker's Twine and you have a quick little gift to share with a friend.
I can't wait to check out what the others have dreamed up to share with you:
- Nichole Heady
- Heather Nichols
- Dawn McVey
- Lisa Johnson
- Betsy Veldman
- Ashley Cannon Newell
- Maile Belles
- Jessica Witty
- Erin Lincoln
- Danielle Flanders
On a side note, I just wanted to pass along my love and heartfelt sympathy to the friends and family of Katie Renz. Although I never had the privilege of meeting this remarkable woman, she touched my heart and life in ways I am so very thankful for. I am grateful for my brief encounter with her...and for the sweet life lessons I learned through coming to know her through her blog.
Thanks for visiting.
Melis

You've done it again, Melis! I love this! The stamp set and what you've done with it is beautiful! Love the trim around the jar and the top of it, the cute way the twine is tied in a bow around the spool, and the so sweet card. I could go on...!!

I meant to also add how sad I was to hear of Katie's passing. She was an inspiration to us all and made you aware of how precious life is.
