Welcome to Papertrey Ink's first group post of February, another fun anniversary challenge, and my first countdown post as a Sr. Design Team member. Above you can find my photo for the Sweet Spring Scavenger Hunt...just take a peek and count up the hidden Easter egg images. If you're tuning in for the first time, you can read all about this challenge HERE on Nichole's blog.
For this group post, we are focusing on two new sets that will make you ready to watch the daffodils pop up and you just might want to open the windows to listen for the birds singing their spring songs. Heather Nichols' sweet new set is called Scrambled Eggs and is just as playful as the name sounds. Mix and match Easter eggs and spring baskets...you'll love them. The Egg die coordinates perfectly with the images from this set. Also, Lisa Johnson's Sweet Spring set is filled with darling patterns, flowers, butterflies, and sentiments. Her stamp set coordinates with one of her previously released Christmas Label die. Both of these new sets will be available for purchase on the 15th of February.
For my project I created a spring baby card and shower ensemble using both of these new sets, the Shape Up Series: Onesie die, and an older set called Scattered Showers with coordinating die. I altered a small Frosted Tin Tie Bag by cutting the top portion off with my pinking shears, creating a handle out of layered ribbon, and embellishing the front. Just the right size for a baby shower favor.
For the next few projects I am featuring the Scrambled Eggs set a bit more. This first card and envelope showcase the basket image and coordinating die from the set. I stamped a background of flowers across the bottom of the card and sentiment across the top using the Sweet Spring Set. The envelope is dressed up simply by adding a bit of stamping and lining it with coordinating paper (available on the 15th as well) using the A2 Envelope Liner die. The dimensional butterflies were cut using the Love Lives Here die.
Berry Sorbet and Aqua Mist are so pretty together...a new favorite color combination of mine.
This next fun project uses the Scrambled Eggs stamps and dies as Easter egg wraps.
I couldn't resist using the smallest heart from the Heart Prints die collection and turning them upside down to use as bunny feet.
I stamped spring sentiments on tags made from the Tiny Tags stamp set and dies.
I filled this based with millinery flowers to bring in a little dimension and whimsy.
And, this happy little chick has glittered accents to bring it to life! Isn't this stamp set irresistible? I love everything about it.
My last project uses the Scrambled Eggs stamp set very simply by just stamping it directly onto a Favor It Box 2....so easy that kiddos could help stamp these and fill them for friends.
I used Heather's older Egg Hunt stamp set here as well because it coordinates so well with this set and the coordinating egg die. You can catch a peek at the new Sweet Spring stamp set used on these as well.
I mixed in a few other older sets as well...so fun to bring out the chicks and bunnies this time of year. These sets are all listed below in my supply list.
Easy and sweet as can be!
Thanks so much for your visit and for all of your thoughtful comments.
Now off you go to visit the other designer's blogs as they've got spring inspiration waiting for you as well!
