around the bend...

Hi everyone!  So much to catch up on...so little time.  Lots going on here and within the next few days I will have oodles of Papertrey Ink projects to share with you.  I am in the thick of it right now preparing some fun things to share.  But, for today....I'll play a little catch up and direct you here and there if you feel like doing a little crafty shopping for yourself this Mother's Day :)

Our spotlight last month at Emma's Paperie was on Teresa Collins and all of the beautiful products she creates for us to create with.  I created this paper bag album using many of her papers, cardstock stickers, and one of her lovely, large canvas flowers.  I also used lots of Maya Road trims and embellishments throughout.

This card was also created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a sketch you can find there.  The Simple Stories Fabulous line was used on this....oh, how I love my Simple Stories stash, and that little flower power bike reminds me of my little lady and makes  me smile each time I look at it.  Did I tell you we had a mother/daughter activity the other day and boy did she treat me!  We gave hand and foot massages and then of course painted nails.  I currently have grape-y purple nails with silver sparkles...I love my girl and this was so much fun to do with her.

Lastly, another fun breezy project to share with you, also created for Emma's Paperie.   I created a paper bag pocket full of gift tags using Pink Paislee's Prairie Hill line.  I love the warm, buttery, cozy colors and patterns included in this collection.

As a mom with no living children, I can definitely say that it's rare to feel that someone else gets that it can be a day of mixed emotions for some of us. I also really enjoy your blog! These are so adorable. Must try one of those sweet pockets. I too meant to comment on your Mother's Day post. I am very fortunate to have a wonderful, loving son who really completes my world. My first son was born right before mother's day & died of SIDs 3 months later. I know the pain that day can be, but also, the happiness it holds for me. We must hold those we have very close, and yet let them breathe. You are a fabulous mother & your little one is very blessed. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Big Hugs.
