bees and birds...

It's warm and delicious outside today, the windows are open, the sun feels like heaven on my face, and all is well with the world.  My first project today was created for Emma's Paperie and is based on a sketch there.  

I picked up this fun and vintage-y pack of images from Creative Imaginations all because of the bee...I love honeybees.

Another holiday card for you, created for the Festive Friday challenge blog.  The challenge this week was to use a bird on your holiday card.  

I used very non-traditional colors as seems to be the case with me, and created a soft, sweet greeting using the Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets with the sentiment from the Snowflake Flurries stamp set.  

The tag is a favorite Martha Stewart find...love its dimension.  And, the wooden snowflakes are from Studio Calico and have been painted using Catalina Mist from Krylon and then coated in Doodlebug Lily White Sugar Coating.  The Raspberry Truffle scrunched seam binding is from My Craft Spot.

Both cards are beautiful! Did you know Melissa means honeybee? Have a daughter named Melissa and she loves the meaning and uses honeybee in her signature a lot. I think I will make her birthday card this year using the honeybee.

When I saw this card in the album, I literally gasped... I love that the only real holiday elements are the snowflakes and sentiment, because the whole thing came together SO perfectly with all the non-holiday stuff! Besides, I love every little thing you make :)

I love honey bees too, and yet I am always stumped as to how to use them. I LOVE your card, and how the "B" theme is throughout. Gorgeous, friend!!

So, I was glancing at the cards and not paying attention to the paragraph below, thinking, wow..this card is so springy" (love rosie posey) and loved the touch of the snowflakes in spring (not in real life tho) anyway then...duh..it is a holiday card...well just goes to show it can go both ways!! More snowflakes in color bejeweled any old time!!! Thanks for the inspiration....again!!!!
