Hi there and welcome to the first Papertrey Ink group post for April. The design team members are showcasing the new Big Ticket Basics stamp set and dies and as I was assigned this stamp set for the countdown, I have a few extra projects using it to share with you as well. This stamp set as well as all other new Papertrey Ink products will be available for purchase on April 15th at 10 p.m. EST.
My first project uses the "Sending" image from the Big Ticket Basics set and I added in "Birthday Wishes", also from the set, to create a birthday card for someone special. I used Classic Kraft cardstock along with the coordinating die and embossed the sentiment and image using Zing Blush embossing powder. Dark Chocolate ink was used on the remainder of my sentiment. I embellished the ticket a bit by adding a resin blossom from the Lily Flower Collection. You can also catch a peek at another new set used on this card, the Sketched Shapes set and dies.
The Parisian Lace Doily die provided a wonderful base from which to start my layering, topped with Fabulous Frames die and stamp set, and finished with Vintage Cream grosgrain and a Sweet Blush button.
Next up is a layout I created all about my little peach...these photos are from a few years ago, although I can remember her just this was as if it were only yesterday, sniffle, sniffle.
I used the Big Ticket Basics stamp set and dies in assorted colors to form a piled up banner across the top of my page. I used cardstock in White and Hibiscus Burst with ink in Aqua Mist, Winter Wisteria, Hibiscus Burst, and Zing Mustard embossing powder. Each ticket image has the option of being fun and playful, so I used plenty to celebrate the meaning behind this page.
Buttons, felt die cut flowers, and washi tape across the top secured the tickets in place.
I framed in her photos using the Fabulous Frames die again and added my title using the Wonderful Words die collection and Wonderful Words Additions stamp set. Lemon Tart Bitty Dot was used as my base and then layered with Linen Vellum cardstock. I stamped directly onto the Linen Vellum using the new Sketched Shapes stamp set here as well.
I love the calendar stamp in the Big Ticket Basics stamp set and used this in the corner to document the month and year these photos were taken.
I used images from the Big Ticket Basics stamp set to form a background on this card and stamped them on the diagonal and just went from there.
Harvest Gold, Aqua Mist, and Vintage Cream provided my color palette. The Seeing Stars die was used to cut stars to stitch across the center of the card and each star was topped with another sweet, new product coming out this month...more on that soon.
I added a sentiment across the top from another new set...pure sweetness I tell you, come back tomorrow to find out more, and then finished it off with Aqua Mist Bitty Dot paper cut using the Super Star Border die.
This card layers an image from the Big Ticket Basics stamp set onto the Tag Sale #5 die and frames it with the Mat Stack #6 die cut using Lemon Tart Gingham paper.
The Birds & Blooms stamp set tied in perfectly with the "You & Me" ticket I wanted to use for my focal point. I used Spring Moss, Melon Berry, Lavender Moon, and Harvest Gold ink, a sweet blush button, and Winter Wisteria Swiss Dot satin.
My last card was simple and quick and uses colors that remind me of summer. I used the Big Ticket Basics stamp set and dies to form a planter of sorts to hold some fresh, die cut flowers cut using the Flower Fusion #3 die and topped with Harvest Gold felt centers cut with the Buttoned Up #2 die. The stems were formed using Rustic Jute Button Twine with the leaves cut using Aqua Mist felt and leaves snipped from the Heart-2-Heart #12 die collection.
I used Pure Poppy and Harvest Gold ink on my ticket and Aqua Mist for the double ended banners stamped using the Sketched Shapes set, and Classic Kraft ink at the top for my sentiment.
I'm anxious to see what the other designers have created. Below are links to each of their blogs. Thanks for stopping in.
