Hello there and welcome to the first Papertrey Ink group post of June. The new Vegetable Garden stamp set and dies is a perfect way to welcome the warm, summer days. I have a few projects to share with you today beginning with this first, fun tag attached to a jar of homemade salsa. I couldn't wait for the tomatoes to ripen here, so I found a recipe from The Pioneer Woman that used canned tomatoes and whipped up a batch and it is now my new favorite salsa recipe.
I used the Seed Packet and Seed Packet Frame 2 die along with the Garden Variety II stamp set. My tomato is stamped in Pure Poppy with the leaves stamped in Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado. I wanted to add to the homespun feel, so I layered the tomato over a patch of burlap.
The Friendship Jar stamp set is the perfect set to accompany fresh, homemade goods. I stamped the sentiment and frame onto a scrap of muslin and then attached in to a tag cut using the Tremendous Tags die collection.
My next project is a set of hand-stamped recipe cards wrapped in an embellished burlap drawstring bag.
The tag was cut using the Tag Sale #4 and Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" Circles dies along with the Vegetable Garden, Flipping Out, and Heart-2-Heart #7 dies. Instead of stamping the radish on the tag, I die cut the bottom from patterned paper and embellished it with a Pure Poppy button. The top is stamped in Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado ink. I used the new Boutique Borders: Thanks stamp set to embellish the center of my tag and used the Friendship Jar set again for my sentiment.
I had some blank, pre-printed recipe cards on hand and just stamped the Vegetable Garden images in the corners to dress them up a bit. On a few I added Kraft cardstock die cut using the Double Ended Banner die stamped with the Garden Fresh image from the set and added Pure Poppy buttons as accents.
I used all green veggies on this card...these images are so detailed and elegant. I used Simply Chartreuse, Spring Moss, and Ripe Avocado inks.
I bent the vegetable name stamps slightly to follow the curve of each image and stamped them in Classic Kraft ink. I used the Polka Dot Basics stamp set across the top and bottom of the card along with Sweet Blush ink to bring in a touch of pink.
The sentiment, from the Friendship Jar Summer Fillers, is stamped on a tag cut using the Tremendous Tags die and is matted with a scrap of glittered Limeade Ice cardstock.
I used the stamping off technique on this card as I wanted soft, transparent layers of vegetables. My images are stamped on a die cut using the Limitless Layers: 3 1/2" Ovals die.
I used Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Spring Moss, and Berry Sorbet ink, the Tremendous Tags die, and Ocean Tides satin. The sentiment is from the Tag-Its #3 stamp set...this has always been one of my favorite sentiments.
My last card uses the radish from the Vegetable Garden set, but in colors that remind me of turnips. I first die cut vellum and then stamped the images using watermark ink and embossed them in White, Zing Blush, and Zing Grapefruit with the leaves embossed in White and Zing Leaf embossing powders.
I embossed the Vintage Cream cardstock background using the Chicken Wire Impression Plate. I used Hibiscus Burst cardstock, Sweet Blush Bitty Dot paper, and Simply Chartreuse Stripe paper to coordinate with my turnips. I loved this sentiment and thought it suitable for this card. It is from the Wildflower Garden stamp set and is stamped on a die cut using the Double Ended Banners die.
Thanks so much for your visit. The other designers have projects to inspire!
