Hi! I'm so happy to be with you today and introduce you to my new favorite stamp sets, Apple Prints and Autumn Pattern Pieces, both from Papertrey Ink, and both available for purchase on the August 15th at 10PM MST.
The weather around here has me feeling like fall is coming and I just love it. I can feel the coolness in the air, almost hear football games playing in the background, and love the change in the sunlight, just beautiful.
Stamping with these two new sets was just another reminder of fall and they were so much fun to work with. For my first card, I used both of these sets combined together. The Autumn Pattern Pieces was stamped in Pure Poppy and Classic Kraft on Kraft cardstock, with small apples stamped as part of the pattern as well. I pulled out my new White Uni-ball Signo pen to add a few extra details.
The Apple Prints set has a coordinating set of dies available and they are a must have...I love, love, love the stamps and dies. I stamped my large apple in Simply Chartreuse, the small apple was cut from cardboard and then painted with off-white acrylic paint, and the flower in the center was cut from Kraft cardstock and stamped in Pure Poppy with the seed in Smokey Shadow. The seeds are precious I tell you! The stem was stamped in Ripe Avocado as well as the sentiment across the bottom stamped on a die cut strip of Vintage Cream cut using the Sketched Shapes die.
You know I love making coordinating envelopes, so for this I pulled out my A2 Envelope Liner die and coordinating paper and dress up the flap a bit. Across the bottom, the Autumn Pattern Pieces set was used again with Classic Kraft and Pure Poppy. My large apple was die cut from cardboard once again and distressed as stated above. I stamped on smaller apple on Kraft cardstock using Pure Poppy ink with the stem and sentiment stamped in Ripe Avocado.
A fun little bundle for someone special.
My next project uses a Cotton Drawstring Bag with Apple Prints stamped using Simply Chartreuse, Berry Sorbet, Melon Berry, and Ripe Avocado.
The "Thank You" apple in the stamp set makes such a cute tag. It is tied with Baker's Twine and attached to the top of the bag using a clothespin. Across the top I used Classic Kraft felt and the Small Rick Rack Border die.
Stamping on these sweet bags is so easy and one of my favorite ways to add character and pretty up a gift very simply.
My next project was a combined effort by my little girl and me. We headed to the hardware store to buy some Chalkboard Paint and a clipboard, headed outside and tried our hand at creating a fun chalkboard, and it worked. I love that stuff! Makes a fun gift for a teacher or for the cook.
I used Fresh Snow ink and the Autumn Pattern Pieces across the bottom and colored in the images using chalk.
The notepad, tag, and clothespin were stamped using Aqua Mist, Limeade Ice, Spring Moss, and Smokey Shadow. The tag was cut from patterned paper using the Tag Sale #4 die and Vintage Cream using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" Circles die. I layered the stem on the apple on the tag by using Simply Chartreuse felt and the coordinating die along with a die cut and stamped image over the top.
My clothespin is covered in washi tape from Freckled Fawn with the larger apple cut from Aqua Mist Bitty Dot paper, and the smaller stamped apple layered over it.
This is all bundled up with a fabric bow some Limeade Ice Grosgrain, and Fresh Snow Twill.
My last project was inspired by this cute Back to School gift.

I used the new Coffee Cozy dies to create my packaging. Inside, a medium sized plastic container with a lid, kind of like you would use for your favorite fry sauce, is filled with caramel dip and nestled at the bottom. My apple is placed on top and embellished with a paper straw, and more stamped apples from the Apple Prints set. A bit of washi tape below the topper, and there you have it.
The Coffee Cozy was stamped on Lemon Tart cardstock using Limeade Ice, Melon Berry, and Aqua Mist using the beautiful argyle image from the Autumn Pattern Pieces set. I created a border to fit around the top of the cozy using the Small Scalloped Border die and Aqua Mist Bitty Dot Paper. I secured my cozy to a base cut using the Limitless Layers: 2 1/2" Circles die.
The tag was clipped to the Berry Sorbet Swiss Dot Satin ribbon using a star paper clip to tie in with the Back to School theme.
That does it for me today, but I'll be back soon with more.
