A quick, catch-up post today. My first two cards were created for Emma's Paperie, the first focusing on adding dimension to cards, and the second based on a beautiful color combination found there.
Dimension is one thing I can't seem to live without when it comes to creating. I love how others can create such simple, clean, one-dimensional cards, but struggle to accomplish that look myself, so I just do what I love, and that is adding layers upon layers.
I used Melissa Frances, Teresa Collins, Kaisercraft, Heidi Swapp, etc. on this particular card. A complete list of supplies can be found HERE.
For this card, I pulled out my new stash of Basic Grey's Persimmon and set to work with more layering. This collection is deliciously fallish...I just love it.
All of the supplies used on this card can be found HERE....including that darling burlap ribbon. :)
My last card was created for the Festive Friday challenge blog.
I love this color combination for holiday cards. I used Papertrey Ink's new Fancy Flakes die collection and the 2012 Holiday Tags Stamp Set. My paper is more Basic Grey Persimmon and I added a bit of my own tea-stained twill.
Hope you'll come play along!
So sorry to take so long to announce the winner of the Freckled Fawn's ohdeerme September kit. The winner, chosen randomly is.....Diana Fleming! Congratulations Diana. I'll email you to get your contact information.
Before I go, I tried a recipe from my Milk & Cookies Pinterest Board, called Pumpkin Oatmeal Cookies, and had to come and tell you how delicious they were. You'll love 'em, especially this time of year!
And, thank you for your sweet comments about my new blog look. All of the credit can be given to my dear friend, Viola Mahr, in beautiful Singapore. I have known her for quite some time and have long admired all of her many talents. She has been working so patiently with me, and has created a beautiful place for me to call home here on the internet. She is amazing and I adore her! Thank you Vi for every, little thing :). Sadly, she is a busy student right now, and isn't taking orders, but she has many lovely boards for you to visit on Pinterest, just to give you a taste of her beautiful soul....
Melis
I absolutely adore your luscious layered cards! I admire how you can put all of those elements together so harmoniously - beautifully done. :)

Wonderful cards! Like the mix of colors and layers. That is terrific burlap ribbon. Great Christmas card. Like the colors and design. I have followed VI for yrs but since she has been so busy her blog posts have been few and far between. I'm always happy to see a post from her. She did a great job on your blog. :)

Love your festive card Melissa, just love the icy coolness of it. The others are of course gorgeous too but I love your own colour schemes ;-) also checked out that cookie recipe, sounds lovely but we don't have pumpkin spice mix so will have to check out which spices it contains to make my own and then we'll be off. Thank you for sharing.
