Hello again! Been a little while, hasn't it? Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Ours was amazing! The three of us loaded up the truck and headed off on a road trip last Friday, traveling to Salt Lake City...one of my most favorite places on earth. We stopped at Thanksgiving Point and took Sierra to Cornbelly's corn maze and pumpkin fest, stayed in downtown Salt Lake, walked around Temple Square, enjoyed General Conference in the Conference Center, took at trip on Trax, went swimming, and had delicious food. My most favorite was a late night dinner at Kneaders Bakery in the beautiful, City Creek Center, and of course, a caramel apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. It truly was such a special weekend, one I hope my little girl will always remember. So, now that my laundry is caught up, my house decorated for fall, and all of the this and thats of life taken care of for just a little bit, I've had some creative time and now have a few things to share.
The first is this sweet, little sugared paper mache pumpkin box. I used my favorite Pumpkin acrylic paint along with sugary glitter.
Scrunched seam binding from My Craft Spot, paper punched leaves, paper leaves, berries, Prima velvet flowers, and wood chip embellishments from the October OHDEERME Embellishment kit.
I added a primitive, Halloween chenille candy cane and stamped and dyed tag, embellished with leaves and flowers (a few things that you will find in my Creepy Crafty Halloween Kit in my etsy shop).
My card uses a sentiment from the same stamp set as used above, Papertrey Ink's Friendship Jar Fall Fillers and a vintage image from this etsy shop.
More scrunched seam binding...
And more sweet wood chip feathers and resin flower from the October OHDEERME Embellishment kit. The Paper is from Kaisercraft and Teresa Collins.
Thinking of you,
Melissa
Well Melissa, welcome back. Thanks to technology, I too have been on your trip! Exhausted now but thanks for sharing. Was so excited to see the dates for the Christmas concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, rushed to tell my brother. As children, on Sunday afternoons, our parents introduced us to classical music and that's where we first heard this American choir. Brought back memories, so thank you.
Oh and pumpkin is gorgeous too.
