Sometimes I think it's more fun to wrap gifts, than to shop for what's inside. It's all about the presentation...you know the outside, luring you in, making you feel like you must be the most special person on the planet :). I'm sharing 3 of my most favorite items to have on hand this season, all very random, but sweet little treasures.
This little, cotton drawstring bag is embellished with vintage trim, a large snowflake painted with Krylon Ballet Pink, and then a handmade velvet rose. Simple and so much fun to make. I love having a stash of drawstring bags on hand, they're like the essential black dress a girl must always have tucked in her closet.
How about using an Altoid tin to hold a gift card? These tins can be dressed up or down. I used Krylon Catalina Mist on this and embellished it with velvet trim, buttons, glitter, vintage image, small bottlebrush tree, etc.
So, after the gift is opened, it can easily be used as an ornament on the tree.
And, metal jar rings...I love 'em. They make such fun ornaments, quick and easy to put together, and inexpensive too. Melissa Frances trim is wrapped around the outside of this ring, after I spray painted it Ballet Pink. Then glitter was added, sheet music for the inside, a vintage image, and a few small embellishments. Another reason to love the junk drawer in your kitchen I tell you...that's where I keep my stash.
And, a fun new issue of CARDS magazine is up and ready for your viewing pleasure. Lots of beautiful things inside.
Night.
Melissa

Simply gorgeous packages, Melissa. If I received a gift in a beautiful package like these two, I wouldn't even care if the packages were empty!! From Kathy F.

Such pretty packages. They are a gift in themselves. Thanks for taking time to share them with us at such a busy time of year. Big Hugs.
