Good morning! Today I have the pleasure of introducing Papertrey Ink's new Words of Comfort stamp set. I am so happy to have this thoughtful set on hand, as the sentiments included are perfect for many of life's difficult situations and offer heartfelt warmth in very tasteful ways.
I combined two of the sentiments from the Words of Comfort set for my first card and love that you are able to do just that with this set in order to further convey your thoughts. The first part of my sentiment was stamped onto a die cut Tag Sale #7 die, the second portion stamped on a Melissa Frances die, and then a Tremendous Tag was tucked underneath with just the heart peeking out. I love layering and had so much fun doing that with this particular card.
Papertrey Ink has so many die collections and other stamp sets that fit perfectly with the Words of Comfort feel. For some reason, butterflies seem to carry with them a feeling of comfort, peace, and tranquility, so I combined several butterfly die cuts, cut from vellum and trim, to create my focal point for this card.
My sentiment is stamped in Simply Chartreuse ink, and is one from the Words of Comfort set that can be used for many situations, happy and sad.
I used the Signature Series: Butterfly, Butterfly, and the Heart-2-Heart #10 dies here along with the Filigree Border die across the bottom. My paper is from Studio Calico and Authentique and the embellishment at the center of the layered butterfly is from Crate Paper with burlap ribbon from May Arts.
My next care is one of my favorites. I used flowers from the Life stamp set around the edges of my card, stamped them in watermark ink, and embossed them using some of my new favorite embossing powder, Stampendous Aged Rose and Shabby Green. So pretty!
I then stamped a portion of my sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink on Kraft cardstock cut using the Bountiful Banners die collection. The second portion of my sentiment was stamped just below the banner in Autumn Rose.
I added the die cut heart left from a die cut Tremendous Tag just above the sentiment to carry through with the heartfelt feel. The upper and lower corners of my card were embellished using die cut vellum leaves cut using the Happiness In Bloom Leaves die, organza roses from Maya Road, adhesive pearls, sequins, and a few buttons.
My last card is very simple and in brighter colors with the intention to bring a bit of cheer. The sentiment is stamped in Smokey Shadow ink across the bottom with a die cut butterfly just above, cut using the Beautiful Butterflies die collection. And, once again I added a decorative border cut using the Filigree Border die.
Melissa

I was drawn to the 4th one with a lot of white space and flowers in the corners diagonally - kinda Shabby Chic style. All your cards were gorgeous, in fact.
