More Papertrey Ink Monthly Moments: April! My pages today are less about the photographs and more about documenting the memories associated with Easter this year. I have hidden journaling in my Journal Card pocket where I've written down the funny conversations we've had with my little girl about her disbelief in the Easter Bunny that all of the sudden cropped up this year :).
And due to the fact that at this age, the only photos I get of her are of her scowling at me and sticking our her tongue, or the unforgettable sight of her waggling her behind my way, all I have are words to remember :). Don't get me wrong...I love this stage, but dang, I haven't taken a decent, smiley photo of her in ages. I even put one of her lovely scowls on our Christmas card this year, just because I think it sums up her age and stage...she cried when she saw it, poor thing, mean mother :).
Ok, onto the pages. Both pages use the Monthly Moments: April Journal Card Pad. I pulled the pink out of the bunny in order to make my pages coordinate with that image and photos that I had...one can never have too much pink anyway, can they? I also used images from the April digital download, the Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 (my favorite die currently), and the Slide Frame die, where I framed in a photo of one of my favorite Easter decorations. I used the Monthly Moments: April stamp set for a portion of my title and also my "Happy Easter" framed in by using the Limitless Layers: 1 1/2" Squares die collection.
The first half of my title is a die cut from the Phrase Play #3 die, and then I used tiny eggs from the Monthly Moments: April set across the bottom as well as script paper from the Dearest Jane paper pad.
My second page uses many of the same elements with the addition of a Tremendous Tag stamped using the Monthly Moments: April set and attached to a Monthly Moments: Journal Card 2 die cut.
Here you can see the Monthly Moments: Journal Card Pocket die holding a journal card from the April Journal card pad and on the back is where I've typed up the memories :). Oh, how I treasure my little girl and all of the life and happiness she brings into our life.
I used the Slide Frame die again to frame in another seasonal photo, this time stamping the frame using the Background Basics: Farm & Barn set.
I attached a tab to the top of my journal card and created it using the Simply Framed stamp set.
Sweet little chicks across the bottom were the perfect accent to finish off April. The flowers used on both pages were die cut using the Just Smile die collection.
Hope your April has brought you many sweet memories.

Great pages! And my daughter is exactly the same way about photos and she just turned 14. I was trying to find a "decent" photo of her for a project and she was mad at me (!) because I didn't have any and she thought I didn't love her. Geez! If you'd quit scowling and sticking out your tongue, and making weird faces I'd have some good photos! And I told her so, so now I'm getting a few more good ones in with the goofy ones. Hang in there, mama! :)

Very Sweet! I love those Journaling Cards! I think all girls go through that stage your daughter is going through. You've also probably been going through the high pitched screaming stage....shrieking when they misunderstand you....That's the part of the stage, I go into the closet for! LOL Our lives wouldn't be the same without all the drama!!! :)

Lovely pages, Melis! My mother has a few photos of me not happy with the camera at that age, too. Oh well, it is what it is. It's kind of nice, though, to look back at how we change attitudes over the years.

Darling pages and pockets! Love the designs and all the cuteness. When we tried to get pics of my pre-teen/teen step-sons ... omgosh ... in every pic one of them was looking every where except at the camera, another looked like he'd rather be doing home work than getting his pic taken and the other one had a goofy smile. We tried. Ironically, now that they're older and on social media like facebook, twitter and instagram, they can't stop posting pics of themselves and their friends ... and they are always smiling or acting "cool." Go figure! :D
