Welcome to the another Papertrey Ink group post, today's focus is on the lovely new Life is Beautiful stamp set and coordinating dies. I've created a simple card first for you today using just the stamps without much layering.
I created a Vintage Cream card base and added embossing using the Sunrise Impressions 2 Impression plate. I then created my focal point by stamping a portion of my butterfly on cardstock cut using the Spiral Notebook die. I then stamped the inside details of the butterfly using Aqua Mist, and then added a bit of interest by stamping with the Background Basics: Text Style.
I die cut a vellum banner using the Double Ended Banner die and embossed the "beautiful" using white embossing powder and then stamped this across the center of my butterfly. The second portion of my sentiment was stamped just under the butterfly using Smokey Shadow ink. I added a bit of embellishing by adding a die cut Circle Scribbles die and Freckled Fawn washi tape and glitter stars.
This card is a bit more complex. I tried my hand at a shaker box by layering the Life is Beautiful dies, acetate sheet, and a bit of foam. Inside my shaker box I used chunky, white glitter from the Make it Market Kit: Shakers + Sprinkles kit.
My butterfly is layered over another Circles Scribbles die...love this collection, and I used the Double Ended Banners die again to create a couple of little tails that extend beneath the shaker box.
My sentiment is stamped using Melon Berry, Classic Kraft, Berry Sorbet, Spring Moss, and Aqua Mist ink, with the new Background Basics: Super Chevrons stamped in Sweet Blush ink across the bottom.
Such a beautiful butterfly set and die collection. I love 'em all.
Thanks for visiting.

Oh Melissa, your cards always make my heart sing. They speak to me in a way, that no other crafter's card art does, even excluding my favoriate water color card artists. LOL I admire how you can take little snippets of so many things and turn them into beautiful works of art. I will be having to make my own shaker shapes, because I could not affort the Make it Market kit this month, I just didn't have $90 on May 1-5, 6th available. I can't believe this is how these kits are going to roll. I'm totally deflated about it. Thank you for your beautiful card inspirations, I always love them.
