Hi there! Long time, no post...sorry about that. My little family and I are all doing wonderfully well. Thanks for the concern you have shared while I disappeared there for a bit.
Today the first Papertrey Ink Group post is all about showcasing the new Monthly Moments: August products. They are playful and vibrant and full of life. I am starting with a card using one of the images from the Monthly Moments: August Journal Card Pad which includes a favorite saying of mine, and then across the bottom of the card, I have used a sentiment from the MM: August stamp set...love this fun phrase and how it pertains to "real" life. My flowers were die cut using the Just Smile die collection and the paper across the bottom is from the Make it Market Kit: County Fair.
I used the new Monthly Moments: Spiral Notebook die on my card and throughout my pages today. It's definitely a must have. I love it.
My pages are all about simple, random, every day things. Things in my house that make me happy, reminders of my little girl and the current stage she's in, what we've been baking, and I even included a soda pop cap of her favorite soda, just a trinket for fun and for memories.
Along with the Monthly Moments: August Journal Card Pad, I have used the August downloads too and ran them through my die cut machine to give them the spiral edge.
I have mentioned before how much I love using the Tremendous Tags dies with my Monthly Moments pages as they are just the right size to layer over images, journal cards, etc. and add stamping too, like I've done here.
All of the trinkets such as enamel and resin hearts, washi tape, and paper clips are from Freckled Fawn.
I encourage you to look at life a bit differently as you walk around your home and yard, your familiar surroundings and capture those images with your camera. We've got the best tomato crop yet, and so I filled a bowl full of them and took a quick photo, also a photograph of an old window frame and wreath that is hanging in my entry and that I love...random but a happy sort of random.
Back to school supplies, ready and waiting for the big day. I added in images here from the Back to School stamp set. My little girl's love of cheetah print is shown in this photo along with her never-ending love of her stuffed animal and Warriors book...this phase has been going on quite a long time and I am not ready for it to end yet.
Her 4H prize ribbons for sewing, art, and crafts. Little things that mean so much to me because of the happy life they represent.
The apple die used here is another new product called the Seasonal Stitching: Apples die...gonna love it, I promise :).
I'll be back with more Papertrey Ink projects throughout the rest of this week.

While I so enjoy seeing what you've created, I equally enjoy reading the words you put together. You paint the loveliest pictures with them. I'm happy to know that your absence from your blog (We're spoiled by how often you usually post!) just means that you were busy spending time with your family. Enjoy.

I like the use of the spiral edge to tie things together. So appropriate in this "back to school" season!
