Lots of sweet treats to share today as we set off on another Papertrey Ink group post. This post is a perfect remedy for those of us who have a sweet tooth :). The Baker's Dozen stamp set and coordinating dies are irresistible!
For my first project I created a tag using the February cupcake. I die cut it first from white cardstock and added a bit of color using my Copics. I then attached it to the sweet, die cut cake plate which was attached to vellum, stamped and embossed using the frame from Baker's Dozen, and die cut using the Stitched Rectangles die.
I created a little shaker tag by layering my die cut vellum over die cut patterned paper, both cut using the Stitched Rectangle die. Before completely stitching the two dies together, I added a few sequins.
I then just added it to a painted mason jar, added a few sequins, rainstones, and baker's twine, and it's ready to share for Valentine's Day.
My next project uses multiple Baker's Dozen images. Really, truly...how can you choose just one?
I began with the Basic Bookmark 3 die and then stamped my three cupcakes down the center. I had to try paper-piecing a few of these cute images, so that's just what I did.
Paper-piecing is time consuming and a bit tedious...but it is my most favorite technique. An oldie, but a goodie for sure. I added a bit of glitter here and there using Stickles, and distressed each image a bit by using my Warm Gray No. 3 Copic. You can also catch a glimpse of another new stamp set used on the corners of my tag, called Stitched Swirls. It's a cute one too :).
So glad you stopped in. These other ladies have plenty to share with you today as well
I like your vellum shaker, will have to give it a try!

Oh Melissa, each of your techniques are so deliciously adorable and versatile. I love your paper pierced technique along with your creative blending of icing that looks like quilting! Amazing!
Yesterday, I went through my craft space and promised myself that I would not be adding another stamp or die for 2015...or well...there's a promise that I won't be able to keep! Thank you so much for a much needed dose of inspiration!

Your pink painted Mason Jar is a fabulous idea and I loved it since you showed us how to make one on your Make It Monday video. There's always so much inspiration on your blog for me. I love your chic vintage style and you're actually teaching me how to do it taking me out of my clean and simple box and I'm loving it. Thank you! I have plenty of Mason Jars of all sizes on a shelf in my garage and now to go and check my acrylic paint stash. I'm really looking forward to making these types of projects. They are great gifts.
