There's so much to love about Betsy's new Make it Market Mini Kit: Lovely Laurels. I had the best time creating with the sweet tidbits she's included. Talk about love at first sight...it was instantaneous. The colors used in this kit, the patterned paper, the sweet, delicate details and images, oh, and the sequins...we can't forget those.
I created a couple of cards using the contents of this kit. This first card is a bit more detailed and took a bit longer than the card you'll see below.
I used a Tag Sale #5 die and layered over it circles die cut using the Limitless Layers: 1 3/4" Circles dies. I then adhered stamped and die cut images from the Lovely Laurels set, adding in a bit of shine using the sequins, and finishing with a bow tied from the string included in the kit. The paper used on my card base is also from the Lovely Laurels mini kit....my favorite colors :).
This next card couldn't be any easier...that's the beauty of this kit. You can create complex and detailed cards or easy breezy, and you'll love each and every creation.
I added just a bit of stamping across the bottom, using the sweet bow image and a few flowers, and then a bit more in the upper right corner.
Lastly, I die cut one of the pre-printed images from the kit, using the Tag Sale #1 die. I rubbed a bit of Vintage Cream ink over it to create a chalkboard look, and simply attached it to my card front...easy!
Two very different looks using items from one very sweet kit...you'll love it!

There's something so "worthy" feeling about a laurel wreath, and these projects are champion- grade!

Sweet Laurels on your cards today! The extra stamping of tiny images really sets off the focal point.

So very pretty and sweet! I love how you used the patterned paper on your first card and the stamping on your second card is a wonderful background for the printed card! TFS!

What an awesome kit Betsy designed! I can tell how easy it is to use based on all the different creations from the fabulous DT. Using the bow and flowers for a border and/or background is perfect. Great to know the 1-3/4" circles coordinate well with the laurel wreath!

Hi Melissa,,
I just figured out how your cards make me feel. I am 5 years old and I go to the fair for the first time, the excitement, the anticipation, the giddiness that I felt is the same feeling that I have when I click on the window to open your blog....and then comes the rides which in your case go up and up and up, never down!
Thanks again for the inspiration! I would be forever grateful if I win one of these prices!
Cariños,
María Alba

Nice cards! Love the colors and "fresh" look of the first and the folk-artsy look of the second. Neat kit. :)
