We have snow! It's beautiful! A very rare treat around here, especially towards the end of February. It's caused one little girl to cry so far this morning, as she wants to know what it feels like to have a snow day and get to stay home from school...sadly, she stomped out the door to school, as there wasn't quite enough snow to call off school for the day :).
So in the midst of all of this weather confusion, I bring you more butterflies....they along with the snow outside my window, are a happy place for me this morning. I created these cards for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday.
Instructions on how to recreate a card similar to this can be found on Nichole's blog. I've used several layers, along with border and banner dies, used to anchor down your focal point.
Consider using other shapes behind your anchors, such as hearts, flowers, stars, etc.
The Mini Blooms stamp set was used on both cards along with Life is Beautiful, Double Ended Banners, Heart Border, Eyelet Lace, Beautiful Butterflies, and Doily Details dies.
Hope you have a wonderful Monday! Feels like comfort soup is on the menu for dinner tonight :).
Melis
Gorgeous! Thanks for posting both cards! They are both lovely, but I think my favorite is the blue one!

What stunning cards. I love all the layering and the way you used the butterflies. I am sorry your little one did not get a snow day. I am DONE with snow as we have gotten too much this winter. The cold is not letting it melt at all either. We always want what we don't have, huh?

What gorgeous cards, Melis! Love the soft beauty of them. Enjoy the snow. We've had a lot of extreme cold weather and finally had two decent snowfalls this month. I, for one, love it!

Both cards are gorgeous! We have snow and ice here in Arkansas too! I won't complain about being snowed in, as long as I keep my power!

Beautiful cards. So springy and fun. Glad you finally got some snow even if it wasn't enough for a snow day. It didn't get north enough for us. Summer is going to be so dry. Big Hugs.

Saw your cards/video on the PTI blog last Mon. LOVELY cards! Great colors and layers of goodness. Was very glad to see a "new to me" way to use my border dies, which are sometimes hard to creatively use. Thanks. We didn't get the snow that was forecast for the past two days, however, we are supposed to get snow and freezing rain on Tues. Here in northern IL, winter is here to stay for a while. :)
