Hi there! Welcome to the first day of Papertrey Ink's 8th Anniversary Festivities! It's going to be a whirlwind of activity around here for the next few days, but so much fun!
First off, I am honored to continue on with Papertrey Ink for another year....I am still just as crazy about this amazing hobby as I was in the very beginning. I have said all along, that creating has healed me, brought me joy, calmed my troubled heart, and lifted my spirits. Being a part of Papertrey Ink has been a gift to me and I am so thankful.
For today's festivities, you'll find a fun challenge on Nichole's blog that involves each design team member and her 8 favorite cards. You can read all about it there and I hope you'll play along...the prize is AMAZING!
Just a few tidbits about my 8 faves:
I love it when winter starts turning to spring, so for that reason, and the darling little bunny from the Hippity Hoppity set, this card is a favorite of mine. I combined it with sweet little florals from The Best is Yet to Be set.
This card I remember with fondness because I created it for Make it Monday tutorial...the challenge being, create using used dryer sheets. Remember? Crazy talk, I know...but a really fun technique, nonetheless.
Another card fave here because of the Make it Monday tutorial challenging you to use windows with screens created with Cover Plates placed behind the opening....had so much fun with this one. And it uses two favorite sets, Rosie Posie 1 and 2, and Love Lives Here.
Patchwork hearts. Another Make it Monday...I'm starting to see a trend here. I suppose many of these are favorites to me because I created them for you, to challenge and inspire us ;). Fancy Flourishes and With All my Heart used here, both sets that I adore and use often.
This card is a favorite simply because it's in my most favorite colors, using my most favorite shape. I used the Boutique Borders: Valentine set on it and had fun layering hearts in different sizes, trims, partnered paper, etc.
The Pedal Pusher stamp set was used on this card and this card is a favorite, simply because of the stamp set...who can resist?
I remember going nutso over the darling bowls and soup can in the Comfort Food stamp set. This card just makes me smile and is one I would love giving to someone who needed a little cheer. The Stitched Sentiments set was also used across the top and to embellish the bowls.
And lastly, with paper-piecing being one of my most favorite techniques, this card is naturally a favorite of mine. The Doodlie Do stamp set is a paper-piecers dream :). Love this set and the sentiments are priceless.
Be sure to stop by and visit Nichole's blog to see what the challenge for today is and to find out some exciting Papertrey Ink news for 2015.
Enjoy your day!
Melis

Thank you for continuing on the DT and providing ongoing inspiration, both creatively and spiritually, Melis. As to favorites, all of your creations are favorites, but my favorite favorites are those that include vellum and pastel embossing powder. That combination is magic in your hands.
