There are some pretty sweet, new products available through Papertrey Ink for book lovers out there! My first card uses the new Book Cover Card dies and Book Cover Details stamps. I so enjoyed creating this fun little book cover. I could very easily lose myself all day long creating these :).
I began with Sweet Blush cardstock and stamped down the right edge of my book cover using Rosie Posie and Rosie Posie Step 2 stamp sets. I stamped my flowers in Berry Sorbet, Autumn Rose, and Melon Berry with my leaves in Spring Moss and Simply Chartreuse. I added stamping from the Bibliophile stamp set down the binding of my book as well as a sentiment. I added distress ink to age my book a bit and washi tape that looks aged a bit, a little reminiscent of some old books you may see at the library.
I then used the Limitless Layers 2 1/2" Circles die and added my Book Cover Card dies to the center. Lastly, I added ribbon to resemble a bookmark. Such a fun group of products to inspire your creativity!
My next card uses the Bibliophile stamps and dies to create a stack of books. I embellished the bindings of the books with the new products as well as adding in some flowers and leaves from the Graceful Greetings stamp set and new dies. I also added in a bit of Garden Variety as well to accent my middle book. My top book was cut from cardstock covered in washi tape.
I added stamping in my background from the Embellishments stamp set and then added a sweet die cut teacup using the new Fancy Teacup die. The felt flowers were cut using Autumn Rose and Limeade Ice felt and the Graceful Greetings die.
To finish things off, I added a stamped Tiny Tag, stamped using the Stacked Statements stamp set.
I am excited to see what the other designers have created using these delightful new products!

a book is a treasure and wonder! no device created will ever replace the look, feel and smell of a book especially one that has been "well-loved". the detail that caught my eye first and gave me a little flutter was the washi tape over the spine. some of my favorite books are covered in tape, strapping tape or self-laminating sheets to preserve the covers and spines from so much use. again, so well-thought out and so much detail to enjoy!

Beautiful Melissa, I could almost "pick" the first book up - lovely, lovely stamping and the old "sellotape" embellishment - brilliant :-)
