Today's Papertrey Ink group post is a really fun one and one I certainly enjoyed preparing for. It's all about the weather, sunshine, rain, and clouds.
My first card uses the new Cover Plate: Rainy Day Die and Rainy Day Sentiments stamp set. I cut my Cover Plate from White cardstock and layered it over patterned paper. I then stamped raindrops in Aqua Mist from the Rainy Day Sentiments stamp set in the openings. I added a few Spring Moss rain drops, pulled from the new So Striking stamp set. I stamped my sentiment on a die cut Double Ended Banner using Berry Sorbet ink.
I added die cut Life is Beautiful butterfly dies, cut from patterned paper and Sheer Basics Vellum.
I finished the inside of my card by stamping a sentiment from the new Tucked In: Thinking of You stamp set, also using Berry Sorbet ink.
I accented the raindrops with a few Rainstones...I love the soft shone they add! And last but not least, I added a bit of smudging with my Gelatos.
My next card and envelope use the new So Striking stamp set, coordinating dies, and Paper Pad.
I chose to use paper that was pre-printed with the images and sentiment and then dressed it up with a layered stamped and die-cut sun from So Striking, stamped in Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise.
I added die cut hearts from the Love Lives Here die collection, and sequin stars from the Shakers + Sprinkles Sequin collection. I then added coordinating stamping and die cuts to an envelope to dress it up and make the recipient feel extra special. This is such a fun stamp set :).

Melissa, you always amaze me with the things you do with the coverplate dies! The layering of the raindrops, on the patterned paper, is just sensational. Love it!

Those sweet hearts just turn that stamp set in a completely new direction - love how you can turn something somewhat "dark", by nature, into something pink and sweet. You have an amazing gift! Love the details - you do those like no other. :-)

Hi Melissa,
Your creativity has no bounds! Your way of thinking defies every reason or logic that I could muster to attempt to explain to plain, normal people like us! But what your creations do as far as feelings are concern is a never ending source of gratitude.
Every time that I see your creations this is the visual that I want you to see..........Imagine a starving child, with a half eaten plate and shouting...GIVE ME MORE,GIVE ME MORE!!!!!!!!!!!
Cariños,
María Alba

Just a quick comment to let you know that I LOVE the idea of the dark clouds raining love (the hearts). Very clever and fits so many needs. Lovely.

Nice cards! Neat way to use the raindrop cover and the butterfly looks great. Like the way you've embellished the weather paper. Great touches. :)
