On this chilly December Monday, we are warming hearts at Papertrey Ink with the sweetest kind of group post...all about "love" for many different occasions.
My first project uses the new Valentine Pin-Ups Kit as a way to wrap up and present a thank you gift. My daughter and I are lotion lovers and are always on the look-out for scents that suit our taste, so I've used a pre-printed tag from the kit along with a stamped Tremendous Tag, using the new Fresh Floral Wrap-Up stamp set, and have created tag layers to wrap up my bottle.
I've then used the darling skunk Pin-Up to create a coordinating clip that can easily be used as a magnet in a locker, or at the top of a notepad, etc. A fun tween/teen Valentine or thank you gift.
I continued to die-cut more pre-printed heart tags, and threaded them on baker's twine from the kit, wrapping it around my card front, and letting the hearts overlap a bit.
I used some Chicken Scratch Gingham at the top, selecting Aqua Mist to coordinate with the heart at the center of my card.
I then used the new XOXO stamp set and dies to create my sentiment, adding in stamped roses from the Valentine Pin-Ups Kit stamp set. My "love" was die cut from the new Lovely Lady cardstock...such a fun color!
My next couple of cards were created using the new Be Mine, Valentine stamp set and dies. I've used the same basic design, altering the colors and theme a bit to show that this fun and unique stamp set can be used for occasions other than Valentine's Day.
My heart in the background is a new product that I am crazy about, from the Stitched Primitive Hearts die collection. It is cut from Lovely Lady cardstock and embellished with stamped hearts from the Be Mine, Valentine stamp set and die cut hearts from the Valentine Pin-Ups kit.
My next card uses the same sketch, but mixes things up a bit by adding in die cut letters to spell out "dad". These are from the Sew Stylish Alphabet 1 collection. I used paper from the Road Trip paper pad and added more die cut hearts from the Valentine Pin-Ups kit.
The stamped tab at the top of both of my cards is from the Simply Framed stamp set. Sentiments stamped over the tab are both from the Fresh Floral Wrap-Ups stamp set.
Now for a couple of projects using the darling Stitched Primitive Hearts dies...just so you know, I will NEVER stop using these :). I love them to pieces!
I used paper for my bottom layer, followed by a heart cut from Sweet Blush felt. I stitched the smaller heart to the larger, using the holes left behind from the dies as my guide.
I added a stamped Tiny Tag using a stamp from the Fresh Floral Wrap-Ups once again.
And, then I just embellished the center of my heart using millinery flowers and washi tape...so simple, but so much fun to make.
My Stitched Primitive Heart die was used as a focal point on my card, creating a pocket from a second die cut heart, that I cut and stitched to the bottom of my first heart, leaving the top of the pocket open so I could slip in a stamped Tremendous Tag.
The sentiment along with the bouquet of flowers come from the Fresh Floral Wrap-Ups stamp set once again.
There are so many ways to use these sweet hearts...more ideas spinning in my head that I'll share with you soon:).

Hi Melissa,
Oh Boy, Girl! You provoked such an array of sentiments today with your renditions! I went from HAPPY and EXCITED to totally crying with your Dad card. Don't feel bad, it was a good cry,but I wish my father was here with me to give him my cards, I know that he would have enjoyed them so much! Thanks for the inspiration!
Love you to pieces!!!
