Welcome back! Our Papertrey Ink group post today is all about this sweet, little number here, created with the new Coin Purse II dies.
These dies are so easy to use and would be doable and fun for kids as well as adults. I've created a coin purse to hold some Valentine love notes. I began by cutting both pieces of my coin purse from Sweet Blush felt. I then cut a second front panel using fabric that I layered over the top of the felt to make it a bit sturdier.
I then added pom pom trim around the edges of the body of my coin purse and then stitched my layers together, sandwiching the trim in between.
Inside I included a couple of 3"x3" Vintage Cream Square envelopes that I stamped on using the XOXO stamp set and the new Outlined stamp set. I stamped in Lovely Lady, Lavender Moon, Sweet Blush, and Spring Moss.
On the outside of my purse, I used the new Bold Blossoms dies to create a floral embellishment. I used Autumn Rose, Vintage Cream, and Spring Moss felt along with some polka dot tulle I had on hand.
What will you put in your little purse? You know, you can't stop at just one :).
Thanks for stopping by!
Melis

Beautiful, I love the added fair and pompom trim. May I ask - did you treat the edges of the floral fabric? The edges look very "clean".
Thank you :-)

Awesome! Love the pom pom trim! The inside little heart! Your fabric front! And the valentine idea too!
Did you use a fabric stabilizer or otherwise finish the fabric edges before assembly?

Completely adorable, Melissa! And those envelopes are the sweetest little Valentines ever. I love that sequin heart too.

So you didn't add wonder under to your fabric? Looks like a sturdy cotton so you didn't need it. Love the sweet heart treatment on the inside of the clasp. And oh, those envies! Love the poms too!

Hey Melis, it's just darling, it's got the Melissa Phillps touch, how could it be anything thing else but perfect. I love the colors, where did you get that fabric, it's so dainty, if you don't mind me asking? You always have really pretty fabric. None of the fabric store by me, which there aren't that many, have anything like what you use. Thank you for always inspiring.
