Hello! It's a beautiful Sunday here and there's more fun to be had today celebrating with Papertrey Ink and their 9th anniversary! Today's post is all about the beautiful, new 2016 Anniversary Set: Painted Petals.
I truly can't say enough about the beauty of this stamp set. It's 3-step stamping, but very easy and flawless...makes stamping so enjoyable and rewarding. For my first card, I began with a watercolor cardstock panel and brushed on light colors in Spring Rain, Limeade Ice, Hibiscus Burst, and Harvest Gold.
Then while the panel was still wet, I stamp my blossoms and leaves, creating a very ethereal look. My large flowers are stamped in Lavender Moon, Hibiscus Burst, Lovely Lady, and Bright Buttercup, with the smaller flowers stamped in Spring Rain. The leaves are stamped in Limeade Ice.
I added a die cut border, cut from Sweet Blush cardstock using the new Cover Plate: Pretty Frame die. Lastly I added just a few Rainstones to add some shine and dimension.
My next card uses the new Cover Plate: Scroll Frame die to frame in my sweet, little flower.
This time I stamped my blossom in Berry Sorbet and Raspberry Fizz with Harvest Gold and Bright Buttercup in the center, and Stormy Sea used as the tiny dots surrounding the center of the flower, and for my sentiment.
Behind my flower, I've used Bright Buttercup + White Basics paper. And just under the sentiment, I attached a thin strip of trim left after using the Cover Plate: Pretty Frame die.
Here's a bit of information regarding this sweet set:

Melissa, you certainly did Nichole justice with your two cards showcasing her new anniversary set. I've never seen Lavender Moon used as much as I've seen on today's DT blogs. Both of your cards are works of art. Thanks for a fun anniversary celebration and hope you had a Happy Valentine's Day!
