Hi there! We've got another fun group post for you today with Papertrey Ink. Betsy has created the most wonderful new Make it Market Mini Kit...it's playful, inspiring, colorful, and is a great kit to jump start your creativity and help you try something new. It is perfect for all levels of card-makers, from those just starting out, to those ready to try a new technique or who want step up their stamping a bit.
My first card uses one of the pre-printed sheets from the Color Pop Floral kit. Using these pre-printed images makes creating very easy and quick, and if you're a beginner, it's a great place to start. The coordinating dies are a breeze to work with, all you have to do is choose your color combination and start die cutting.
The "Celebrate Today" is also a die that comes with this darling kit. I simply die cut it from white card stock and embellished with tiny flowers, die cut from a pre-printed page. The Sweet Blush frame around my card is the new Cover Plate: Pretty Frame die and is layered over vellum and Mint Julep + White Basics paper.
This next card is a bit more technique-y :), but SO much fun! I can't wait to try more and more using the amazing 3-step stencils included with the Color Pop Florals kit. I began with white card stock and color spray in three colors for my blossoms. A soft pink, yellow, and peachy-pink. I then used the leaf stencil and color spray in green. Lastly, I added the tiny blossoms stencil, but used my heavy Gesso for these blossoms, hoping to add some depth and touch ability.
After my Gesso dried, I used a sponge and a soft pink Gelato to add a subtle bit of color to these blossoms. Then came the stamping :). You could leave your stenciled images "as is", or add stamps from the kit to bring them to life. I stamped in Hibiscus Burst, Lavender Moon, Mint Julep, Ripe Avocado, and Melon Berry.
I added a strip of Mint Julep + White Basics paper down the left edge of my card, a die cut Tag Sale #1 to the center, and adhered my die cut sentiment, cut from Sweet Blush ink.
I can't say enough about this kit! It's just genius and I love, love, love it :).
Be sure to visit the other designer's blogs to see how they've put this kit to use. And stop by Nichole's blog for another contest!
Thanks for visiting.

I want to say my mom; she single handedly raised 6 children and did a great job. It wasn't always easy, but somehow we all survived and turned out to be very decent human beings. She is the most loved mama ever!
